Ah, Queen Zeal. I remember that fight. AKA "stupid arms that counter if you hit him and take no damage, so you can't use area attacks".

On that note, I nominate any boss that uses a move that reduces a members or members to one hit point. This usually results in a scramble to heal the member before they die.

And on that note:

Spoiler: Final Fantasy VI
Kefka. After fighting through three seperate battles against the twisted, "Classical Hell" versions of the three statues and trying desperately to avoid losing party members (particularly to the top's final move of insta-killing people), you fight Kefka himself, who proceeds to reduce party members to one HP and generally nuke everyone. The fight itself is not so much hard as it is a battle of attrition; you have to tough out a lot through the entire stream in order to avoid getting screwed over.

Also, I might as well mention this:

Spoiler: SSB:B
Tabuu's shockwave can be avoided rather easily if you know how. You can't run away to escape it, but if you time it right you can sidestep the three waves. What I do is stand in the middle of the platform and just dodge. It may take a few tries to get the timing exact, but once you do, you can dodge all three of the shockwaves easily and it pretty much becomes natural on subsequent times. That's how I beat Tabuu with 3 guys remaining on Intense.

Also, in Boss Battle mode it works a little differently: Instead of OHKOing you, it just deals damage and sends you flying a little bit like any other attack.

Not really. In Boss battle mode, if you fight him at the very end(like I did) I'm pretty sure it's a one hit KO.

Mine was actually Saervok from Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast. Too many floor traps that did WAAAYYY too much damage, and it seems as if the guy NEVER ran out of magic to cast at you.

It got so bad for me (because apparently I can dodge his attacks but can't land any of my own) that I had to turn off the sound. He was just that annoying.

Which is sad, because Demyx was probably my favorite Organization member. Everyone loves Axel, and he's cool, but Demyx was AWESOME because of the fact that he wasn't sure of himself. It was cute.

That stupid last boss from FF tactics advance the wierd crystal woman, I had to kill it the cheap way both times I did it(having all party members have a summon ready), like who's stupid idea was it to give the boss a free undodgable summon which it can use whenever it wants? this would have been ok, but the damage WILL kill any caster classes or lower to medium health classes, and quite simply if a few of you survive the boss will just use it again next turn, ugh.
As someone said earlier Abaddon from castlvania DoS, there's only really a problem on julius mode though, I would say the demon Soma was the hardest boss in the game though, if you got your timing well it wasn't to hard but one slip up and you were dead.
I thought deadbeard (secret boss)from the first golden sun was very difficult, but to win you simply need to do some leveling.
Fire Leo from viewtiful Joe 1, incredibly easy when you work out his pattern, however I couldn't work it out, so the first time I did it the boss took about 15-20 minutes as I never got him dizzy so just continued slow mo punching him.
Lastly advance wars 2, the last level, this level is incredibly difficult due to the sheer overpoweredness of AW2 sturm,his lazer and his huge amount of bases, I could never get the cheap way to work ( completing it in about 7 days with help from colin's bombers) so had to do it normally, I did it by complete fluke the first time I haven't been able to do it since ( and haven't wanted to try) suprisingly I would say the hard campaign version of it was easier, but still pretty hard

Minamimoto and the beserk reapers were SO HARD. As was the final FINAL boss


Xemnas from KH2 was annoying, mostly because he was so easy, especially after the final boss in KH1 (I WANT TO RIP THAT BOSSES FACE OFF)
Also the second boss in Shadow of the Colossus was annoying, because I was crap at aiming with the bow so I couldn't get to his weak spots >.<

I-No in GGXX in Baiken's story mode. It's just pure hell.

I always farm Zeal for Prism Helms and Dresses three times per game; go through the Black Omen in 1000 AD, 600 AD, and 12000 BC, in that order. Combined with the three Prism Helms you can get from the Rainbow Shell quest, that's six Helms and three Dresses, enough for everyone in your party (except Magus, but the stuff in Ozzie's Castle is better for him anyway), all without even needing to play a Plus Game.

Course, you still need to play a Plus Game to get three Moon Armors. There's just no way around that...
