Believe me, you'll like case 4 even less. If they all were like the second, it'd be a great game.
Character developement? Yeah right
Kyouya is a nice character, but I really wish they'd given you a prosecutor who actually wants to win a case or two. Like, you know, in the first three games.
About the syndrome - I think it's supposed to be a pun meaning "chiryou (治療) - less", unhealable.

How should I romanize Chiryouresu Syndrome? I'm pretty sure it doesn't actually exist. Since...neither does the country the cocoon comes from.

Well, hm... it takes the main idea out of the game for me. The games are called "courtroom battle", not "courtroom friendly agreeing on who's guilty without a proper conflict".
I'm really left with the feeling that I did nothing in the whole game. Like when Odoroki had been missing from all 4 cases, nothing bad would have come from it. If the prosecutor doesn't want to make the defendant be found guilty, what am I there to save them from?

Since Kyouya's not the one pushing each suspect, I guess you could say it's all her fault! Ha ha ha, silly science girl. You incriminate innocent people! *chucks karinto at her*
But really, Daian wasn't a suspect at all until Lamiroir accused him on the stand. And Kyouya had already said he hadn't intended to call her as a witness, since she didn't "eye witness" anything. If Odoroki hadn't heard Romaine's last words and insisted on her testifying, Maki probably would have been found guilty.
...That reminds me, I wish they'd made an "Ema throwing snacks at you" sprite. A-la bean man. <3

But that doesn't mean he's necessarily wimpy. It's only after the push and pull that the real truth comes out, and what Kyouya believes at first to be the truth doesn't necessarily end up so. THere's still conflict, but it's in regards to 'what's really the truth?' rather than 'I'm going to make your client guilty no matter what!'. A bit more low key, a bit more ambiguous, but from the sounds of it, it works, albeit in a different dynamic than Phoenix vs. Game # Rival.
That said, GS5 will probably have a much more confrontational rival.

I think that's pretty accurate. In cases 2 and 3, at least, the focus seems a lot more centered on unraveling how the crime was comitted, rather than fighting off the prosecutor or even figuring out "who dun'it". Like I said earlier (in whichever thread, who knows~) it's kind of refreshing.
Though...I do wish they would have played up Kyouya's feelings toward the case just a liiiiittle bit more. I think 4-3 is the first time a prosecutor is forced to convict a friend.
EDIT: Think I can get away with just calling it Cureless Syndrom? XD Or maybe Churless Syndrome is less obvious...

In case 2, Odoroki was just about to receive a guilty verdict. But then Minuki screamed, and it looked like a man in a black cloak and tophat had a knife to her throat. The man warned the Judge to call a recess or Minuki would be dead. They both disappeared.
But when Odoroki found Minuki in the defense lobby, she was fine. The "man" that kidnapped her was just a puppet, and she was never in any danger. It was just a ploy to stop the proceedings long enough for Odoroki to get his act together.
Seems like everyone agrees this was a rather dispicable thing for her to do, especially in a court of law. Good intentions, totally wrong action.
OH. But...they found the cocoon. I guess it just didn't burn up...?

BTW, IMPORTANT QUESTION.
For Minuki's profile...can I get away with putting she's Phoenix's daughter, outside of a cut? It seems rather silly to hide her entire surname, since you learn almost immediately after she first shows up in the game who she is. If GS4 were the first game in the series I don't think it'd be a spoiler at all.
There's a certain expectation of "if you click on GS4 character profiles, you're going to get GS4 information." But is "Minuki Naruhodou" too much?

It's pretty out there, that's for sure. A big improvement over Minami's in case 2. Hers was really tame by comparison.
