OMG> I can rant for hours about why I hate Regina. I can see that Capcom tried to make her so "innocent" and "cute" but she's just really annoying. Regina loved her father, and believed in him and everything he said. She was also spoiled by her father, and lived a sheltered life within the circus. Her bright and happy attitude is because that is how she lived all her life, in a circus that shows such an attitude to everyone else every weekend (or, whenever it was open).
The reason she acted 'retarded' towards her fathers death is because she truely believed he went to a better place, because that's more or less what he told her himself 6 months prior to the case.
You must also remember that watching the final trial did bring the horrible reality into perspective to her, keep in mind that all she ever believed about Léon and her Father being stars had just been shattered.
I actually took a liking to Regina. She was completely opposite to what I expected of her at first (ya know, being the apple of every guy's eye*, I imagined she'd be more bratty and spoilt), and was actually kind to the main characters (considering how every case in AA had some sort of "I am so smug as I have the upper hand" suspect, this was a breath of fresh air).
Jus' stating my opinion. ^^" FYI, I also was never truely bothered by Ini saying 'like' so much, but it did make some things a little hard to read when trying to get through some segments quickly.
*heck, even Maya wanted to propose to her. xD

hah, quirk...sry the nostalgia is too much) and I can't see how you would begrudge someone a little character. Regina's innocence is simply the result of her overprotective father, not her manipulativity. And Ini saying "like" all the time dosen't bother me, I know so many people like that.
