It depends, really. The Reaper Saori image was made in MS Paint using my mouse. I think tablets are better for images that are anti-aliased but either way, people can still do pretty cool things with a mouse. I've come across a handful of people who can do the most amazing things with a scanner and their mouse > u <

I said using the mouse is strenuous for me because my hands haven't recovered from recent injuries (yeah, I was injured some time ago AND GOT ANOTHER BAD LUCK INCIDENT involving my hands AGAIN....)
So I opt for tablet~

Mm, I see. But wouldn't it be better to stay with your mouse? Since it gives your hand a horizontal angle, it lets your palm rest on the mouse. Unlike with a tablet pen where you have to actually angle your hand just to be able to draw. It puts more strain to your hand >:
