"I haven't seen her yet, Edgey." He was a bit happy at this statement, as he hated Franziska's whip. Gumshoe dug around his desk for a moment. "Evidence list, evidence list, AH! Here it is!" He had found it under a pile of magazines. "Detective Weekly, my favorite. Well, here you go, pal." Gumshoe handed the file to Edgeworth a bit reluctantly.

This was her first official case with Gregory, and she didn't want to mess up one teeny tiny investigation. She wanted to make sure they had every piece of evidence in their possession.

((Since this is unactive, I'll play a police officer in the precinct. Someone for Gumshoe to play with XD))

"Gumshoe." said one of the officers. His name was Michael Rivers, and he was quite the catch. And he's also quite the busy bee. "I need you to fill these forms out for me. Give them to the chief. Then get my drycleaning. Here's the money for it. Also get me a meatball sub from Subway. Here's more money for it. Got it? Good. See you around, buddy." Michael said, handing Gumshoe 20 dollars, what seemed like a million forms, and 15 more dollars.

Michael stepped into the Evidence Room and checked his locker for anything he left in there.

"Um... I was doing the paperwork you asked me to do..." Gumshoe was a bit nervous. He knew that police officers had more authority than detectives. "I'll go get it now... pal." Gumshoe abandoned the paperwork at his desk which he had procrastinated on enough to get about 3 lines filled.

"What a character." Michael said, getting back to labeling. He was such a workahloic, that the unfinished files bothered him. He took one form and finished it in a split second and returned them to Gumshoe's desk. He kept doing this with different files until it was finished. "I completely forgot! The evidence!" Michael said, labeling more evidence. "FG-3... PG-13... OQ-5..."

Gumshoe had arrived at Subway when he noticed that there was a long line inside. "Rivers won't be happy..." The person in front of him glanced him up and down. Gumshoe was a fairly tall man, but with that easily broken heart of his, that build wouldn't get him far.

Gumshoe noticed a familiar figure walking towards the place out of the corner of his eye. He thought to himself, "(Puffy sleeves, short skirt, long whip. Franziska von Karma. I should stay away, that whip is glaring at me.) Gumshoe pulled his collar up, in an attempt to hide his face from the prosecutor.

Gumshoe noticed another familiar face from behind the counter. "(Is that... M.. Maggey Byrde?!)"

Today was not going to be a good day, and Franziska von Karma knew exactly who it was at fault.

Scruffy. She thought bitterly. She had informed him to have the evidence report sent to her this morning. And now, it was lunchtime, and there was no report to be found.

The basic facts of the case were not unknown to her. Franziska had spent the morning at the coroner's to get some information. Forthcoming, but this was hardly a perfect case. Not yet. Not without the evidence report. That's when perfection would rear it's head on this new defense attorney.

Franziska walked down the street towards some of the finer restaurants, giving disdaining looks to the random fast-food places. When she passed a local sandwich chain, she thought she caught something out of the corner of her eye. A big, burly man with a ridiculous three-strand goatee, pulling up his collar and hunching his shoulders as if trying, vainly, to remain anonymous.

"Well, I suppose lunch can wait for a moment. Business first, after all." She walked into the store. There's was quite the line of customers. Scruffy was near the rear of it, close to her, desperately trying to stay out of focus.

"Only a meter or so from my position? I could hit him in my sleep." Franziska lashed in a graceful arc to smack Scruffy right across the shoulder.

"Were you not taught to greet a lady you are familiar with, Scruffy?" Franziska asked with an edge.

"Looks like it." Gregory sighed and pulled his car into the parking lot. As he started to get out, he started thinking abstractly about black holes for a second, completely missing Julia's comment about being hungry. "Well, I think we should investigate this crime scene. There should be something to help exonerate our client." The young lawyer laid his hand on the door, and with a quick breath, pulled the handle.

Julia was already outside of the car. She slammed the door shut. A loud "BANG!" sound was mad by the impact, and she saw a small dent. She tried to wipe it out and hope that Gregory wouldn't notice, but it felt quite hopeless. It was kind of deep. She ran to Gregory's door instead and waited for him to come out.

The loud noise made Gregory cringe. Julia was never one for restraint. Admirable in pursuit of a goal, but she was going to need to calm down if she wanted to be a good lawyer. "Alright, let's go see if we can learn anything from the crime scene. Be careful and don't touch anything. I definitely don't want to defend you in my next trial regarding tampering with evidence." Gregory chuckled a little at his joke.

"Nyeah! It's closed here you know." The boy said rather childishly at the newly entered visitors. A broom in his hand and a sprout of artichoke in the other, looking rather angry at the doors direction. Dusting off his work clothing (which really wasn't needed at the moment), he left the dusty broom leaning on the wall. "Someone was killed here." Again with the immaturity. He averted his gaze to the busy looking room. Not even with the professional clothing, he would act rude unless the person looked... nice.
