Edgeworth had tuned out for just a moment, but it seemed like the world had passed by in that time. I'm really not myself today. Perhaps it's time to take a leaf out of Prosecutor Godot's book. Seeing that Gregory was busy with the waitress, and the others had left, Edgeworth decided that he'd done enough at this location. Slipping on some thin rubber gloves, he picked up the journal and put it into an evidence bag. I believe some analysis is in order. With that thought, Edgeworth set off for the precinct.
When he arrived, he found Gumshoe talking to the defence assistant, Julia. He coughed loudly to get their attention. "Detective," he said, holding out the journal, "when you've finished flirting with the defence, I want you to take this down to forensics and have it tested for fingerprints. Also tell them to watch out for any signs of wiped fingerprints." The defence attorney seems trustworthy, but so do many liars. "If they have time, have them check for other things - blood, hair, skin samples, and so forth. Also, would it be possible for me to talk to the defendent?"

"The soup that poisoned Holly Barren on the night of the murder, did you have any access to it?" he asked, if Art had slipped artichokes into the soup then it's possible that he could have also poisoned it.

Julia was shocked from seeing only ten dollars in that envelope, so she just took it anyway. She headed down to Subway. When she was opening the door someone was going out. They bumped heads. "Hey, watch where you're--" the person said, standing up. "Oh, hey, are you alright?"
Julia nodded. After all, she bumped into that cute guy, Dustin. "Y-yeah... I'm... I'm ok." she said, getting up. She dusted her skirt as Dustin grinned at seeing her again. "I guess.. I'll see you around?" Dustin said.
"Unless you want to grab a mini sub, then yeah." Julia said, walking into Subway. "I'll take that offer." Dustin said, walking into the joint. "Which sub did you want?" he said, counting his pocket change. "... ... Meatball..." Julia said. Dustin nodded and headed up to the cashier. It did look like Maggey. Julia walked up beside him. "Don't you two look cute." Maggey said, opening the cash register. "Here's your change. Your sub will be on its way."
"Maggey." Julia said. Maggey gave a salute. "Yes?"
Julia handed her the envelope from Detective Gumshoe. "It's from Gumshoe."
"...Oh. Well, alright then..." Maggey said, snatching the envelope from Julia's hand.

Julia and Dustin were sitting at a table and eating their mini subs together. They shared their interests and stuff when a thought came to Julia's mind. "I wonder if Greg realized I'm gone." she said, taking another bite. "Is Greg your dad?" Dustin said.
"No, he's not. But my parents are abroad and I'm staying in his guest room. He's just my teacher. He quit to be a lawyer."
Dustin nodded and finished his sub. Julia was one bite away from freedom. "Want me to help you with that?" Dustin asked. Julia felt full, so she gave the rest of the sub to him. But Dustin put the sub in Julia's mouth. Julia smiled and chewed at the same time, and together, they went to Veredos.

Boris frowned at Art, who was still smirking. "I don't know... ...yet" he growled "...but I will find out". Boris melodramatically left Art to handle the order, not even bothering to glance at Monty. He simply entered the kitchen with his new-found malice and retrieved ingredients with far too much force needed to lift them up. The way he prepared his soup was nothing similar to the way he prepared Julia's. It also seem to take slightly longer than usual, but that wouldn't surprise anyone watching the way he ripped apart the chicken. While cooking, Boris wondered if Art was simply toying with him or if he actually did have something to hide. He was definitely at the restaurant at the time of the murder, he couldn't 'not' have been. Boris then looked at the soup, if Marques was here, he would never let a stressed chef prepare anything... ...for several good reasons. It was a shame the man had to taste a less-than-perfect soup. Correct ingredients, Correct amount, Unfavorably prepared. He had to take his mind off the restaurant at the moment, rather than ask for anyone (he didn't want to meet Art again, and Mary was... ...busy) and delivered the soup to Gumshoe himself.

"Oh, Julia. Where'd you wander off to?" Noting Dustin, he was quick to add, "Did you find a new friend?" Gregory then turned himself back to the matter at hand. "So there were only those five people in the restaurant? Interesting."
When Gumshoe arrived, the attorney noticed him with a polite nod. "I'm sorry detective, I haven't collected affadavits or anything. I'm just talking to them about what happened that night. Have you done any more forensic analysis?"

Edgeworth sighed as Gumshoe walked away. Sarcasm is wasted on some people. Thinking little of it, he headed for the detention center.
He walked up to the guard in front of the interview room. Folding his arms across his chest, Edgeworth said, "I wish to speak to Marques Man Fonne as soon as it can be arranged."
The guard nodded. "Right away, sir," he replied. "Just head in and I'll bring him to you."
Edgeworth walked into the interview room as if he'd done it a thousand times. Surely it can't have been that many. As he sat down in the hard chair, he opened his files again. Something doesn't fit here. I don't know whether the missing pieces matter, but I intend to find out.

All of his evidence was rightly confiscated by the police and prosecution. He had to trust them to handle it properly, although it meant he wouldn't receive the knowledge of the tests unless he brought it up in the courthouse. That was fine.
"Julia, I think I need to speak with our client to get his testimony. Do you think he is out of questioning, yet? I'd hope they would let me talk to him before the trial starts. Do you want to come with me, or do you want to stay with your new friend?"

After a couple of minutes the guard edgeworth had been talking to steped into the room on the other side of the glass followed by Marques.
As Marques moved towards the seat he turned to the guard and said "...how is it--".
"Almost done, sir...!!" said the guard before he could even finish the sentence.
"Good" answered Marques thoughtfully and sat in front of Edgeworth
