In fact, with Ms von Karma around, there's a fair chance you'll be found guilty even if you're innocent."
Edgeworth remained silent for a moment, to let that message sink in. "Therefore," he continued, "I am offerring what you might call a plea bargain. In my experience, a murder usually takes place because of some secret in the past of someone involved in the crime. Often, the secret is another crime. As a servant of the law, it is my duty to do all in my power to bring these crimes out of the shadows."
"In short, Mr Man Fonne, I believe something is rotten in the restaurant of Verdos, and I'm not talking about the food. If you help me uncover that secret, I will convince the judge to lessen your sentence if you're found guilty.
