A lot of the jazz is in the grace notes and the tempo as well as the embellishments. I guess you have to listen to a lot of jazz music to get an idea of how to play it right *sighs wistfully*

As I said above, I'm using Noteworthy Composer to do the transcriptions, and it's free to download - I've sent Croik copies of all the transcriptions I've done so far in .nwc format. If you want to use any of them to create your own embellishments or add in extra instrumentations/change the style you're very welcome. The program's very easy to use.

Actually, I ALREADY have a sheet music program, Albiet a different one ^_^ However, that mean I'll have to put in the notes by hand, using your screengrabs... But it shouldn't take that long :)

Now, to make the topic for the CR PW:AA Music Project...

Actually, I'm comparing it to the the same song in gyakuten meets jazz album. But don't mind me--as much as I can play a piano, I don't know how to jazz.

You already have a notation program? Great :D What type is it? If it'll import midis I can give you the midi versions of the transcriptions for you to play with - save you having to put it in note by note ^_^

I taught myself how to play the circus theme from 2-3, in case anyone wants it. I could try my hand at writing the music for it if enough people want it~

I recorded it in case you want to listen to what it would sound like:

I will be finishing off my transcription of Gyakuten Sisters (aka Maya's theme) after exams - that has a piano line and other instrumentation as well as the main melody if people don't mind waiting for that.

Gerkuman - I sent you a PM ^_^

I just got hold of a whole bunch of GS4 midis! The background music is really awesome, I'm so excited about transcribing it!

But that's not the real reason why I'm posting XD I just thought I'd let you guys know what I'm planning to transcribe over the coming weeks.

My first priority is to get all the character themes transcribed.

Once I've finished Gyakuten Sisters (Maya's theme) I'm planning to transcribe Phoenix's Objection themes from the first 3 games.

I'm still trying to get hold of a midi copy of Edgeworth's theme in the 2nd game - I'm gonna try and rip some midis of my own once I get the software.

I'm also going to be doing the character themes from the 4th game if I have the midis... I've found Minuki's so far, I think all the rest are streamed audio and don't have midis so I'll have to transcribe from the OST.

That's the plan anyway! I don't just have character theme midis by the way, I also have background music and the like which I'll move onto after the character themes are finished ^_^

I asked really really nicely and somebody ripped them off the cartridge for me :) 'Cause technically nobody's supposed to be doing any ripping because the GS4 soundtrack is coming out in June, but as it was just for sheet music somebody uploaded them for me Will Powers

I play the violin badly and the piano okay with enough practice XD I can play the violin alright if I practice whatever piece it is a LOT and it doesn't go too far above top C Payne

Also, just a note - I have sent copies of all my transcriptions to Croik to put up on Court Records. She's busy updating all the GS4 stuff right now. I can't put them here because each transcription has multiple components - a word document version, a PNG graphic version, a midi version and the original Noteworthy Composer file. I thought that was the best way of making it accessible to everybody so whether you have a PC or a Mac you can still grab copies of the sheet music. But these things take time! They will appear on the Court Records site eventually, and besides, the longer you wait the more transcriptions there'll be to go up ;)

Yes, I will transpose pieces once Croik's put them up for download. Just say what key your instrument is in and which instrumental line you would like transposed ^_^

If any of you have software that can produce sheet music from midi files http://www.vgmusic.com has a lot of midi files from the first game. I've got all of my music from them.

If you click here, you can download Anvil Studio [3.74mb] using which you can input MID/MIDI files from vgmusic.com or any other similar site and view them in sheet music/tablature/etc form. It's very good!
