I'm really useless... when I try to run AIGE.exe, it tells me "d3dx9_36.dll" can't be found.
I've installed DirectX (several times) so I don't really understand what's going on.

[Anyway, now I've had a chance to read through the tutos, and it looks simple and powerful at the same time.]

Did you install DirectX 9?

And, did you install the Visual C++ runtimes?

Make sure you install EVERYTHING listed here(apart from the Phoenix Wright font, which is optional but reccomended):

if all else fails, get the missing dlls from here:

and put them into c:\windows\system32\ or pwlib's folder.

Search the dll and put in the aige's folder. I did it when running with wine and i worked. (since i couldn't install dx9 on wine at uni).
I didn't deploy with the file because it's part of the dx distribution.

Guess I just wasn't lucky...

The dll thing worked, but now I have the same problem as BSRaven : generic error message has encountered problems etc.
Apparently it just won't run with my XP.

If you see the fps on screen, it's initialized (if you did run without scripts).

The reason: earlier version did show the windows before everything (internal) was initialized so the message made sense.

For those of you with Dell systems: The ATI.com link won't let you update your drivers (at least for Mobility Radeon X1400), but the one on the Dell website isn't the latest.
Use RadarSync or another driver update software to get it.

I gotta nother problem guys. It's an appcrash when I tried to uses Ema's excited sprite. I looked at the sprites and noticed they were split into two parts, could that be the problem?

And I know where to get them, but I don't know how to find out which drivers I have NOW XD

Installing new drivers (2008-05-02 for geforce fx 6100) didn't help with anything. The screen is still blurry and weirdly resized.

The Ema Excited crash: I just got it too, will check why.

Serio: hmmm, strange. Sounds like an old video card issue (since everything else seems ok). I'll look into the aige's code.

The animations functions crash with wrong textures (I thought I fixedd it, AIGE's issue, will look into it).

I use an image with the name in the box. No "text set". All you need to do is create the namebox and put the name in. (I may add it into a later release, ability to set the text using a blank name box). I found no Trucy, so that's why ???

It ran fine with the basic script (the one where nothing's loaded up in PWLib in a Nutshell), but as soon as you throw in a sprite... it nukes itself.

I don't think I can update my graphics card drivers either... They're at the latest version. (nVidia ForceWare 93.71, which is the last one that supported my card)

Young Ema has the complete set. Check the assistants file.

Aboutthe text glitches: it seems the text code is sentimental with pcs (no idea of why it works here and not there). I'll enable the usage of the old text render so people can use AIGE/PWLib.

I was talking about Trucy, sorry if that wasn't clear. I'm glad Ema has a full set, makes life so much easier. ^_^

Just two more little tincy things though. Firstly, I followed your addition tutorial, but the first time trucy's pic is added, it doesn't appear. So I can't present it when the time comes. But after it repeats, it appears like it should. X3 I dunno if it's something I did, but I found it funny. Also, what is the right area to click on the examination test, it's not really obvious from the pictures.

Sorry if I'm being a bit demanding KSA. ^_^;;

Only Young Ema has full set. I didn't had time to do those since people were bugging about PWLib.

As people do it I can add to PWLib's Character Standard Set (as I get and work on fixes).

For those having issues, do a test: run aige without any scripts (unpack pwlib and run aige.exe) and see if the fps display is ok.

Witch questions were? (*I'm kinda busy to fix the text issues, so it is etter then I reread all the posts).

I was talking to xXGetANotGuiltyXx and I made s small test changing the fps render to the old simple text render code and it works. Now i'll make a flag to use one or the other.

I went and ripped the text boxes for everyone from aa2, aa3 and aa4 in case someone wants them.

Didn't know what color should the japanese stuff on aa4 sheet be (plus it's missing a lot of shading), so it was left uncolored.

That might be slightly hard, since they use alpha channels and i'm not all that great with creating those. I can reorder them to more less fit position wise with the one that's in the engine, but they'll be opaque.

Also do i have to reorder them into 4 rows or is 5 rows ok too?

Ignoring the slightly blurry Ema, the arrow on the bottom is missing the background and unresponsive. Then again, this is just tutorial one, so maybe this is supposed to happen...?
