I know you guys wouldn’t believe this unless I had proof. Reader Blissteria was nice enough to take some pictures from the latest issue of Nintendo Power. I am only going to post one, due to ‘fair use’. Also, I just wanted to make sure that you guys believed the news!

Characters confirmed thus far - Dracula, Simon, Alucard, Shanoa, and Maria Renard.
Classic subweapons - holy water, magic spells, dagger, boomerang
Subweapon use still depends on hearts
Remixed classic Castlevania tunes

Set traps, destroyable environments, enemy monsters interfere with battle
Nunchuck controls character movement, Wiimote used for motion attacks

What's with third parties stuffing in their popular franchises on the Wii...but in genres the franchises do not fit into?

RE: Umbrella Chronicles... Soul Calibur Legends... Now a Castlevania fighting game.

Next we'll get a Guitar Hero kart racing game from Activision.

At least the 1st 2 probably make more sense than this one..

Also, Nintendo got in on it too:

(Why is there a platforming paper mario when they have a perfectly good platforming franchise that's also about mario?)

Death Note is awesome.

I'm sorry, but what's so bizarre about a Mario platform game? :inspect:
Plus, that was originally a GameCube title. It isn't a third party just trying to toss the Wii a licensed bone to make a cheap buck.

Because Super Paper Mario has funnier dialogue than Galaxy, it came out much earlier, you can play as Luigi, Peach, and Bowser, the unique mechanics of the past Paper Mario games come into play with those polygonal allies, and it. Has. Di-f*cking-mentio, one of the most badass villains in the Mario series.

Because Paper Mario is a spinoff RPG series. It seems weird to make a side scroller out off an RPG spinoff series that was based on a platformer.

Why? It sounds perfect. Like making a video game based on an anime based on a video game.

It surprised me that Konami was going to make the next Castlevania into a fighting game, too.

IIRC, though, Konami doesn't have the best track record with fighting games. The only good one I remember them producing was TMNT: Tournament Fighters for the SNES. And Dragoon Might.

But hey, it does look like they'll pull off something pretty good here, hopefully.

Wow a Castlevania fighting game, I never thought I would see the day. So far it looks pretty interesting. With me being a fighting game and a Castlevania fan I may give this game a try whenever the price comes down to 30$.

Sounds like Adaptation Decay².

This game could be good.

Or really, really, bad.

And considering the only other Konami fighting games I can think of are that crappy Smash Brothers clone they made (with Takara and some animation company) and Rumble Roses... this will be a game we can easily pass on without regret.
