I agree with this. For example, no one would bat an eyelid if it instead had been phrased "they call him Apollo" or "he's called Apollo."

I also think it's worth mentioning that Zak is the kind of guy who beats people with wine bottles when they piss him off. And Magnifi was the kind of guy who would cover up his own daughter's "death" so he could use it to blackmail those already loyal to him. I don't blame Thalassa one bit for not wanting to expose her infant son to either of them or the rest of the Troupe.

Remember that Thalassa married a man who WASN'T a Grammarye. Its quite possible, no it's VERY likely that his surname was "Justice". Apollo would've taken his father's name, not his mothers (since his parents were married at the time of his birth).
Its the same way with Trucy. You'd think her name would've been Grammarye, but her father's real surname is Enigmar, thus Trucy Enigmar.
The only true blood Grammarye's are Magnifi, Thalassa, Apollo, and Trucy. Zak and Valant are outsiders.
The biggest question I have now, after FINALLY finishing the game for myself, a question larger then who is Polly's daddy, is why Thalassa didn't bring Apollo back with her. Did she already realize that the Grammarye's were going downhill, or was she just too young to handle him at the time?
I highly doubt that Thalassa just dumped him because she didn't want him, she DID give him a bracelet after all.
