The only thing that bothers me a bit is that the parts you edited stick out because they use more colors than the sprite, especially her chest. You might try reducing the colors and hand-tweaking a bit so that those sections are a better match with the rest. I don't know what program you're using, but I know that at least PSP and Photoshop can reduce the colors to only the ones in her sprite. >w<

Trucy's original sprite uses 32 colors, while yours uses 252. That's because her body is soft-shaded, which is nice but isn't the style of the game. n_n''
To help show you what I mean, I imported your sprite into Paint Shop Pro with the original sprite's palette. I didn't change anything else, I hope you don't mind.
The soft shading is quite nice, too, though, but it doesn't match her head or scarf. Maybe you could try softening those up to match?

...Anyways, here's what I've been up to:
Yeah, i know, I just couldn't resist. Shame on me.
You might notice a slight increase in quality on this, because this one's in png format.
(gif didn't support so much transparency)
Now, child porn aside, I can use the underlying layers on this as a sort of 'template',
which makes it rather easy to add/remove diffirent clothings. So I'll get to work
on that soon enough. (Can't leave Trucy in the cold like that... :oops:)

I really like how it turned out, despite how I never thought I could
make clothes from scratch and succeed.
This one is Trucy in casual clothing. Then again, she casually wears her magic outfit...
I especially like the top. ^^

Anyways, I'm currently trying something challenging;

As for the proportions, it looks okay to me so far but it's hard to gauge without the legs.

In any case, i'm going to start off without the full body;
like I did for the other angle. Although i'm not sure if I could
ever get the legs right anyways.
I'm getting a bit more worried about the skin - in this pose
the cape casts a shadow over almost the entire torso.
I don't even get a hug?

So, I've managed to get rid of the cape on the other pose.
But I'm not really sure about the shading or skin color yet, so it might
need a few more changes.

Well, work on the new pose is actually progressing a bit too slowly...
I'm really unsure about the proportions and the shading. But once
that's done, it'll be easy. I hope.
