The entire theater burst into applause at this part. God, I love seeing things with comic book nerds.

Yeah, the pencil trick was pure win ^^ And when
Spoiler:
Gordon came back from the "dead"
the whole theater just gasped and burst into applause. And whatever there is to be said about Heath Ledger has pretty much already been said, but he was excellent. He was funny when he needed to be, and really creepy the whole time. The nurse outfit made me crack up, too.

The pencil trick was HILLARIOUS.

I, personally, am not really into the whole comic book thing...but I had to go see this movie because of all the hype (and Heath Ledger. Gotta love Heath Ledger). So, I saw it, and loved it, and will see it again and again and again.

And then, when I got home, I started looking up Batman stuff...and DC comics stuff. FUCK, it's confusing. There are, like, fifty billion different Earths, apparently. XD

That is the sole thing that bothers me about comic books. They make alternate universes out of alternate universes. O_o I still love them, though. xP

But anyways, apparently the feedback says that it's going to be much better than I anticipated...I'm not in America at the moment so I can't see it. I saw the trailer for it in Iron Man though and it blew me away. The whole thing is probably made of win in epic portions. :D

There was some damn funny moments when I saw it such as the pencil disappearing trick, him dressed up as a nurse and finally, when he comes out of the hospital and expects a massive explosion only to have nothing. So he pushes the button continuously only to have a massive fireball come out :will:

But seriously, Heath definitely brought out the psychopath in him with his laugh. That laugh will definitely take me to the grave and back. But the main point of the film is definitely a sticking point in regards to being a hero and the price of it.

I finally got back from watching this movie - I really hadn't been planning to go, I got brought along to make up for a guy that missed out - and it was pretty damn epic. Even if it is the only Batman film I've watched since Batman Forever when I was about five.

Spoiler: Do I really need to say what?
Personally, I felt really bad for Harvey Dent/Two-Face. You can tell that in the end he wanted to do the right thing for Gotham, to the point where Batman himself was willing to make him the hero, but after his girlfriend died he basically went to pieces - which was kinda embarrassing to watch. He made an awesome villain, though, and the CGI or whatever they did to morph his face was unbelievable.
Also, I understand why people are throwing around so much praise for Heath Ledger - the Joker was an incredible character. At the same time he was hilarious (messing with the switch at the hospital) and terrifying (the scene in the interrogation room where he's laughing as Batman beats the crap out of him).

In short, an awesome movie. Batman's gruff voice sort of annoyed me, though.

I saw it, and Batman Begins was much more entertaining. Although Heath Ledger hit the right notes as the Joker, and Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine were entertaining, but the plot didn't really move in any particular direction, Rachel didn't have much chemistry with anybody, Christian Bale was wooden, and logic seemed to vanish whenever it was convenient for the screenwriters. The movie has persistent grimness, but no real weight.

The 'social experiment' scenes were good, though.

... but I think I'm in the minority here.

I agree with you. It was okay, not absolutely perfect. And I still stand that it wouldn't have done NEARLY as well if Heath hadn't died. It was okay, but, not nearly as perfect as everyone says.

I just saw Dark Knight.

Needless to say, everything was perfect. Everything lived up to the hype and everything lived up to my expectations. I always have something to complain about and this movie left me with absolutely nothing. The setup for the sequel was perfect, not leaving too much out in the open, not closing up too much.

Needless to say: the sequel will be absolutely worthless. I cannot stress this enough, Heath ledger was a great loss (Even though I didn't know who he was until he died). The Joker won't be the same without him. Anybody else who plays The Joker in the later movies will be absolutely worthless. They might as well stop making the batman movies, because this is as good as they're gonna get.

It was far from perfect. I saw it twice already.

While Heath Played "his" Joker well, he did not play the actual Joker well. I will always prefer Jack Nicholson over him.
I LOVED Two-face however. He was made of epic win. I thought he was better than the Joker.

I would like another one. The will make another one. The Joker doesn't have to be in it. =/ I would love to see Harley Quinn or The Riddler in one.

Typical Summer film.

UUUUUUUUGH MY STUPID COMPUTER ERASED MY MESSAGE AND LOGGED ME OUT!!!! :KKKK *calms down* bah, I'll just try to type this again.

WOW. This movie did not fail me in any way. I usually don't go watch movies with lots of hype since I know I'll be disappointed, but I was really curious and the movie just blew me away. I completely forgot that Heath Ledger was dead, so I can safely say that his death is not the reason I'm praising his performance so much. The Joker was really the one who brought the suspense, terror, and humor to the movie. So yeah, I'm kind of repeating what everyone's been saying, but it's seriously what I think of this movie. I don't think I'm watching another movie like that in theaters though, because when I walked out of the movie theater, I seriously had goosebumps and I was shaking a bit XD

by the way, Batman's voice was a little creepy at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly. =D
