In seriousness, anyone that has Vista on their system, and plans to game on it, should format the entire machine, get a copy of XP (even illegally) and go with XP. just to shove it up the big M's rear hole. They should have done alot more internal testing and not released the PoS they have. I don't care what they've done - they cannot at all force a operating system downgrade on me. twice the cpu just to run an operating system!? ridiculous.

Vista is not that bad. It's like XP when it came out: incompatibilities, etc.

That one is very hard to fix.

I'm pretty sure you can, it'd be good if there was a tester who would test all the versions and compare the development from 0.1 to 1.0 and so on.
Ver. 0.2 will be ready in a couple of days, testers?

Actually ver 0.2 isn't ready yet to be tested, I'm working on it as fast as I can.
When it's ready I'll announce:"It's ready." and then I will upload it in Megaupload and Filefront and send the download links to the testers.

Let me get this straight.
Perm testers are testers whose duty is to test all versions and compare them with each other and weigh the development between them. They also have to suggest matters to be improved. Ex. "Boss X is a bit too hard, he should be easier."
Un-perm testers are testers whose duty is to give their general opinion on the game.

I have been happily enjoying game maker games on vista for years. I am no vista fanboy, it's MS'es worst operating system since windows ME, but I've only had one game that I didn't eventually get it to run, which was crime stories. It didn't look like that great of a game so I wasn't too disapointed. I had vista on my last laptop and have it on my new one, and let me tell you, Vista is much better if your machine can handle it :) I like a few things they added, although the things they like could have been in a 5 megabyte patch to XP, hehe. The graphical rewrite really wasn't worth it in my opinion.
I don't know how a platform game would work, but it sounds interesting. Is it just the characters in a mario type game? I want to know how the story justifies it haha. I'll be watching closely for when the game is finished.
