Hey, ironlunch here. Chances are, if you've been to the Phoenix Wright section of fanfiction.net recently, you might have seen my Gordon Truth stories hovering around the frontpage. Apparently, judging by number of hits and reviews, readers are more interested in stories with canon characters than OC's.

That's right, the Gordon Truth saga is made (almost) entirely up of OC's. Don't worry, the story takes place in the same world about 3 years after the events of Trials and Tribulations. The setting is New York City, a huge, bustling, busy city with enough lights at night to convince anyone it's daytime. A place where a rookie attorney by the name of Gordon Truth quicky blends into the crowd. But this attorney will come to change the entire city as it buckles under a criminal epidemic.

The reason that I think others aren't really interested in the story is that it deals mostly with OC's. Some would say that calling my story a 'fanfic' would be pushing it, since none of the characters from the AA series has made an appearance (aside from the judge of course).

I know there aren't many all OC fanfics, especially in the AA series, but I still hope many of you will be able to give it a chance!

Dun worry, ironlunch, it's definitely fanfiction :) There are plenty of fanfics with an all-OC cast. In order for it to be a fanfiction it really just needs to take place in the world of the game/anime/manga/etc, not involve the characters of the game/anime/manga/etc. (at least in my opinion, and I'm sure many other people feel that way too (and even if they didn't like all-OC stories, they would still call it fanfiction))

I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying reading your fic. I rarely like stories so heavy with original characters, but this is quite good for the most part. There are some grammar mistakes, but nothing bad enough to interfere with the fic. It might be nice to see some canon characters stop in for brief appearances at least, but I can certainly understand your wishing to avoid them. I just find that it makes the fic seem more in line with canon when the game characters at least get a mention so it feels like the story is set in the same universe instead of feeling so distant. Anyway, nice work.

I've long forgotten what made me write an OC story in the first place (origonally, it was going to be a PW centric fic taking place after JFA and starting with the second case), but with canon characters, I'm actually trying my best to integrate it to co-exist within the AA world, and since Gordon Truth takes place three years after TT, canon character's showing up is still a huge possibility. Although this may be spoiler-y, I just have to say that; for those of you wanting cameos, there will be a visit from a certain prosecutor in case five! (with a black goatee, more or less)

And also, if I'm ever going to write a second story arc (which may happen since I can't get it off my mind), the first and fifth cases in the seond arc will unite many characters from the AA universe. But we'll just have to wait, since I'm pretty much blocked with the third case right now... :payne:

Er... I'm not sure how to say this, but... I'm looking for a Japanese name for my protagonist. I don't know any Japanese words, characters, or, well... ANYTHING! But I know some people do.

If you're asking why I want a Japanese name... well... I just sort of got the feeling that I needed one. Help a fellow fan!
And in case you don't know... (it's the freakin title of the thread) his name is Gordon Truth. I don't want a translation, just a good, Japanese name for a defense attorney.

Oh, and new chapter is coming soon, but I'm about to film my movie, so it may be delayed. :yuusaku:

EDIT: I found some translator thing online, how does Shinri Musha sound? It supposedly means Truth Warrior, but I'm probably not gonna keep it...
Kasshoku Chimokushi sounds good, it means 'brown blood vision'... but maybe not.
Mokushi Kamisuken is looking nice... but if you know japanese, it's a serious spoiler...
Rukku Mokushi...
Shin Rukku... I'm thinking Shin Rukku. Shin means truth, and Rukku means look. So... this may be it..
Rukku Shinsuken? I like this one better.

Looks like your characters are in trouble. :P Another good chapter. You really managed to keep the suspense high and the cliff hanger (something I've always had trouble with myself) leaves me wanting to know what happens next. I hope to see more soon. :)

A nice addition. It is always nice to see a prosecutor who cares about the truth, although the method you used to have him act as such was a bit too reminiscent of Klavier in 4-2 and Edgeworth in 1-3. I can see why you did it though. I thought it was cute that you managed to slip in Apollo's line from 4-2 about lawyers and needless procedures into the mouth of one of your characters. Good work overall.

The chapter is interesting, but I found one part of it truly unrealistic. The part that bothers me is the accidental kiss. It is true that if standing really close to one another, their lips could conceivably touch if one fell. Still, this is a very unlikely event considering how small the target is and is particularly hard to believe if both fell at the same time. The timing just wouldn't work. Besides, that wasn't a brief connecting of lips, but a prolonged kiss. Also, they seem to forget everything too quickly while kissing. They were just having a large fight considering he just accused her of attempting to murder her mother (something which could ruin her at the very least and is a rather horrible thing to say in general) and he has serious issues with her. There just hasn't been enough sexual tension in the story to explain such a reaction in my opinion. That scene was the only one that struck me as extremely unrealistic. The rest was pretty good.

Yeah, sometimes ideas pester me while I'm in the middle of writing. The entire kiss thing was a split-second addition, and it shows. I'd still like them to kiss accidentally, and I belive Gordon might feel too surprised to notice immediately, but I need to cut it shorter. The reason I need the kiss is to drive Judy Ryut away from him. The story is nearing the point before the climax, and us readers know that that's when the story has to be darkest. BP also expressed worry in this scene, and after hearing it from you Mia, I'm definitely going to have to re-work it. Getting rid of the bold print is another priority.

This is going to take some thought...

EDIT: I changed the 'kissing' scene. I hope it's better, since I made it much more of an accident and neither seemed to enjoy it very much at all.

Heh, okay xD It's just that, as I've already said, you set up such a high standard by replying in 2 hours the first time :P

Hm, so the kissing scene was for Judy. If you had added some sexual tension in 2 scenes during the investigation (one atht ebeginning, one at the end) you might have been able to make it a bit more believable in the second day of court. (Perhaps when they're celebrating that he won? (Assuming he wins the next day. And if he doesn't, you could do it on the third day.)) Of course, this is all assuming that Judy has to be driven away any time during the trial, not just the first day. If it has to be on the first day... then I guess you're out of luck :payne:

And I'm glad you like the sig :D I know my entire sig is now kinda big, but... meh :yuusaku:

I'll figure something out. (Maybe I'll animate them so it alternates? xDD Of course, then I'd make an avie to match and have them alternate simultaneously. Hm... maybe I should do that anyway.... ^_^)

EDIT: All right, much better. It still seems a bit forced, and highly unlikely (I mean, having two people tripping over a chair in a row and having them kiss) but much better than randomly-falling-onto-the-desk-and-making-out-for-a-minute. The slap was really a nice touch :hotti:

Just finished reading the first one (and hence skipped many of the replies to avoid spoilers) and it was pretty good! I imagine the others get even better. (and it's nice to see a fanfiction in here that isn't a love story...IMHO I feel we have one too many of those.)

Surprise surprise! Court records forums are back up! And hence... so is my story! During the lock-down I do belive I added ONE NEW CHAPTER. Also, the next one is definetly coming soon.
