Well, I just finished this case and my opinion on it is that I preferred 4-1 to it. It's a difficult statement to make because the risque humor in what is almost certainly deliberate on Trucy's part is almost too adorable for words.
Ema's attitude during the game and her inability to pronounce glamorous (has she been hanging around with Gumshoe so long that her IQ has dropped?) brought down the score a bit. Also, I had less sympathy for Wocky than any other Phoenix Wright protagonist save for

.
There's also some serious game-play issues with his adventure on my end. I can't describe how many times I was just wandering back and forth between stages, looking for something to happen. The only other time that happened for me was Turnabout Big Top and that's my least favorite of all Phoenix Wright cases.
Fundamentally, Phoenix Wright's success depends on easy game-play and interesting characters for its to succeed. At least, for me. The major problem with Turnabout Corner is the fact that Wocky is like

in that he really should be locked up.

is something of a weak character as well. Oddly, I think my biggest complaint about her is that her plans are way too normal and sensible to really fit into the PW world.
The strongest points of the story come from the continued treatment of Apollo Justice as Phoenix's butt monkey. As expected, Apollo Justice cannot get any work as the man who destroyed his own legal firm. So, he's ultimately forced to come to work for Phoenix Wright (I wonder if Phoenix is going to demand a management fee from Apollo to add insult to injury?)
In actuality, I don't mind this manipulation as I'm fairly clear that the Machiavellian

knows the entire story well before Apollo and is just jerking him around the same way that Mia did (but without the excuse of being dead) in order to make him a better lawyer. I can't imagine Apollo's reputation as a lawyer has improved, though. Let's face it, his second case has him get a Mob Boss' son off the hook. If it was possible actually get a worse reputation than zero, I'm fairly sure Apollo has it now.
To expand on my complaints with Ema. She's lost some of her innocent bright eyed optimism and become far less skilled than we might have hoped so. I really love her character design, though. But seriously, while I can believe she'd fail the exam, it's hard to believe she'd lose proper English and inhibit an investigation like she does. What's with the "Kids" stuff anyway?
A positive and a negative is Prosecutor Gavin. I suppose the oddest complaint I have about the Prosecutor is that, upon meeting him, I can't help but think the game would have been more enjoyable from his perspective.
In addition to having the potential for an Ema Skye relationship, he's also the first Prosecutor who seems to genuinely be interested in doing his job and finding the guilty party (at least until Edgeworth's redemption and that's when he's replaced by Von Kharma). Given he pretty much hands the case to Apollo Justice at the end, it's also difficult to really see him as a rival that Apollo must strive against. If they'd wanted to do Phoenix Wright 4 then they might have considered doing it from Prosecutor Gavin's perspective. Then setting him up against his own brother for more drama. Oh well.
Almost all of the flaws in the case are compensated for by Trucy. Trucy Wright is, bluntly, MAGICAL. Not just magical but MAGICAL. She's cuter than Maya and Pearl put together and I daresay even more awesome than young Ema and that's saying something. The game was redeemed from being one of my bottom cases by her very presence and every scene she did is just awesome.
Ironically, my favorite part of the game after Trucy is the ending. I confess, I actually liked that the game didn't chicken out and make Wocky see his father's perspective. He's such a little snot that the fact he's going to ruin their attempts to go legitimate works out very well and its much more believable he's going to continue to be a gangster. Even if he does manage to survive.
Note: My own familiarity with Mob Tropes caused me a bit of a headache here as we had the Godfather and what is blatantly a Yakuza family with typical Punk son being treated like a regular mob one. This is about the only time the localization didn't work out very well.
Overall, a very fun case but frustrating and flawed.
