However... Kristoph saw Vera once. Now, there's two possibilities. Possibility A: This is when Kristoph sees that she bites her nails. Possibility B: This is when Kristoph gives her the nail polish.
However, in PA Kristoph can never give the nail polish, and in PB Kristoph can't know that Vera bites her nails.
So how does this work out?
And I don't think Kristoph always carries around a bottle of poisoned nail polish in case the need arives

I seriously do think Kristoph always carries around a bottle of poisoned nail polish with him, because he's just that EVIL.

Perhaps he gave Vera his own bottle. I wouldn't be surprised if he had 100s somewhere.
But before he passed it on, he pulled a bottle of Atroquinine from his pocket, and poisoned it himself.
I could see Kristoph carrying just the lethal dose of Atroquinine in his pocket. Especially during black market dealings like evidence forgery.

That's likely, but then she may never have left the house, therefor died, unless she went out intentionally and maturely. Though by then, she may not remember the face, so, "Mission Accomplished"?

My thought is that Kristoph talked about her with Drew, who probably told him about her 'habit' during small talk without thinking much of it - then, when the time came for Kristoph to meet her, all he would have needed is the prepared nail polish.
It's not complex - it's just really, really simple. XD

Isn't there reference to a zoo visit with the client? If so, Kristoph had a good chance to observe her then!

Odd, But meh - I assume he simply noticed it and mailed it to her...all we know is that he GAVE it to her, but not necessarily if it was at the time they met!

The only time it matters if she gets nervous and bites her nails is when she's wearing it--i.e., she's outside.
The only time she went outside in those 7 years were for the trial and to the Gramarye Museum, and we can assume she didn't get nervous at the Gramarye Museum.

Maybe during his conversation with Vera she told him about not liking to go outside, and he also noticed that she bites her nails. So he slipped the poison in the polish and gave it to her. We know that he told her the polish was a charm to use if she wanted to go outside, which explains why she didn't use it for 7 years - supposedly she never went outside. Maybe she was saving it under the hopes that Troupe Gramarye would come back, and she'd get to see them in person?
Kristoph probably expected that Vera would not leave the studio until she had finished her forgery. But who could expect that she wouldn't use it in 7 years? PLAN BACKFIRE!
