I got a few.

Master Of Monsters: Think of it as Pokemon Mixed with Gameboy Wars (Japan only as far as I know. (Gameboy Wars, not Master of Monsters. Gameboy Wars is Japan Only.)

Amazing Island: The reason I like this game so much is because I am a creative person with a huge imagination. Some people don't like this game, and I guess it's not for everyone. But for imagination gurus like me who love to create monsters, this game was great at the time. Also try out games like Magic Pengal and Spore, some other Monster Creater games. But I have yet to try those games, they are probably better.

Star Ocean 2: YES!!! This one is a real winner. This was my favorite RPG for the origonal Playstation. It was really fun. The battle system was creative and fun, The characters were well designed, and there was so much to do in this well made masterpiece. I wish someone would make a Dias MUGEN character. I would put him on my team. If you still have a Playstation, go out and find a copy of this 2-disk RPG. ... if you don't have it already.

I heard some other people respond with games I like.

Waku Waku 7: I am a fighting game fag, and I also love mechs, fedora-wearing dudes, everything that's big and fluffy. This game also has one of my favorite stages in any fighting game. Slash's stage, I don't know what it is about Slash's stage I like so much. Probably the background music. The stage itself is pretty cool too. Unfortunately, it only had 7 playable characters, and for me it's "The more, the merrier," so I played Real Bout Fatal Fury even more. But it was still pretty well made.

Let me think of others...

Well there was a game I owned in my childhood called Insector X. This game was made by a one-hit wonder company called Sage's Creation. This was their only game. But it wasn't a bad one. It's a pretty decent Shoot-em-up for it's time. I mean, there are better ones like R-Type, Gradius, Parodius, ect. But for what it was, it was passable.

Can't think of many more. It doesn't really get much better than Star Ocean 2. Man, Star Ocean 2... that was a great game.

Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land is relatively little-known, but a really fun game with a high amount of customization and a surprisingly decent plot to carry you through the dungeon. What really makes it is the Allied Action system, which pushes it from "good" to "really good". It's not as robust as Wizardry 8, but more accessible.

Spoiler:
Image

Rengoku 2: The Stairway to HEAVEN is my favorite portable action game, and one of my favorite action games in general (others being OZ and Zone of the Enders 2). For some reason it's gotten panned by just about everyone, for reasons which are unfathomable to me. The controls are good, the graphics are clean, the camera isn't bad at all, and it's endlessly replayable. Its precursor, however, really is bad to the point of being unplayable.

Spoiler:
Image

Fantasy Wars is a pretty little-known game out of Russia, and despite boasting the most generic title and setting ever, it's a pretty awesome wargame (if a little easy). Note that this means it falls into the turn-based tactical genre, and is not a strategy game. The mechanics are taken right out of Fantasy General (which in turn was a takeoff of the excellent Panzer General, and as an aside, Panzer General II is a treat every tactical/strategy gamer should enjoy) and streamlined for modern audiences.

Spoiler:
Image

Mount&Blade doesn't have a box (well, it does, but it looks terrible), due to being digitally distributed. It's a wonderful game from the Turkish house TaleWorlds. It plays a bit like Sid Meier's Pirates! on land, or Darklands with armies. Its real claim to fame is the awesome combat (mounted and on foot) and the extensible mod system (including a Lord of the Rings mod, a Song of Ice and Fire mod, a Roman Legion mod, and more). Setting-wise, it focuses on being relatively historically accurate to the medieval era, so there is no magic and no dragons. It's shareware that can be played until character level 6 or 30 in-game days, available from http://www.taleworlds.com.

Clayfighter 1 and Tournament adition were alright, But Clayfighter 2 had boring new characters, boring generic movesets, and edits instead of an actuall final boss. I mean, the final boss of the first game was just a projectile spamming ring of balls, but anything beats a recolored edit for a boss. I have never played 63 and a half, but I hear it's awful. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, but I am wondering. Have you ever actually played number 2 or 63 1/2?

I OWN 63 1/3rd! It's one of my favorite Fighting Games, oddly... I always kept a list of each performable "Claytality" taped on my wall back when it was New, in fact!

Clayfighter 2, however... No, never played that one. I ALSO played the original, but I don't OWN it, if you're wondering.

63 and a third? Is that a take on of Naked Gun 33 and a third?

If there is one obscure game I liked, it's Saga Frontier. It wasn't just one long story, it was a whole bunch of short stories. You could start out with 1 of... 7 characters I believe it was. Saga Frontier 2 wasn't as good in my opinion though. I thought the gameplay from Saga Frontier was pretty fun, and it also had some catchy music. Heck, I even used the battle theme from that game in one of my Mugen Videos. The graphics were 32 bit instead of 3-D, but that's all right, as long as the game is fun.

Also: I am spoilering this so those that don't care don't need to read it.

Spoiler: Unrelated, useless info about my imagination
You know, I have never heard of that game, but seeing the title of that game shocked me a bit. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter, but I once thought of this one cartoon show about Superhero animals. One of the characters just happened to be called Lightfoot, a super fast rabbit with excelent footwork(Not very creative, but still). It shocked me because, well... because I wasn't expecting to actually see someone/something named Lightfoot, I guess.

Edit: Sorry, did it wrong. I'll just do it like this.

Izuna actually it's not that little unknown consider it sold well enough to get a follow-up game (which also did very well). Not to mention, there quite a few people still looking to pick up which is keeping up and around in stock on sites like e-Bay/Amazon/Gamestop. It's no Pokemon/Final Fantasy but most DS gamers have at least heard of it.

Strider 1&2 are both great under appreciated games. Of course everyone knows WHO Strider Hiryu is because of Marvel VS Capcom 1&2, but who's actually played the games he's from?

After it was a hit arcade game, Strider apparently became a pretty big thing for Sega. Now I wasn't old enough to even really be interested in it when it was popular (I think the arcade version is older than I am by a few months), but I was familiar with him because my Dad had the NES version and I played it a few times when I was really young. Fast forward to when Marvel VS Capcom comes out, I remember him, start really liking the character and seek out the original games a few years later.

The original was really ahead of its time. Mid level bosses, great gameplay mechanics, a variety of enemies, etc. The second one isn't really bad either, Capcom just wrongly decided to stick to its arcade roots and made a game that didn't really work on consoles in a time that arcades (and especially games like Strider IN arcades) were on their way out.

So now it's been 10 years and Strider's barely been touched. He occasionally appears in the crossover games (Namco X Capcom, SNK VS Capcom Card Fighters), and sometimes Capcom puts out a new port (A port of the NES game on the GBA, a port of the arcade game on one of the Capcom Classics), but nothing past that. It's a shame that such a great character and series is going to waste like this. Oh well, I'll always love the originals.

A creepy first person point and click. You are awaken in a room, alone, no memory with the only clue being the word Theresia. There are traps everywhere and you have to go through it all to reach the end. To get through you have to read the clues before touching things(ex. there blood covering this book. basically meaning it a trap)

Summon Nights 1 & 2(GBA ones).....I think it is known in japan but America....HAH! Yeah right! It is very hard to find copies of the two awesome (My opinon...) GBA ones that came to America. The also released the one for the DS but frankly...It was very bland to me and it changed the game play dramaticly.... I loved being able to make loads of weapons....So sad....If anyone actually has them....I'll be happy. Also...Wait, Thats popular. Hard to find here...But popular.

Taito's Ninjawarriors (Sega CD version, Japan only...However, there is English voices present from the Arcade version)

This game was a little difficult, but the music was very good...as well the arranged tracks included in this version. Zuntata (Taito's house band) considered the Ninjawarriors music is their best track they ever composed. Killing the enemies in the game were a little racist... :lana:

Spoiler: Disregard this
Ok guys, this has been driving me crazy for days.
I remember playing this pc game years ago but I can't remember for the life of me what it was called. I've searched google for god knows how long and nothing has come up. But perhaps you can help me.
All I can remember is:
-It was from the 90s
-It was a first person point-and-click adventure game.
-It had traditional animated cutscenes
-You and your team/group of friends crash landed on the beach of some mysterious island and the point of the game, is to search the mysteries of it.
-You and your friends have the ability to turn into their own animal (No NOT animorphs). You, the player discovers your animal abilities through the game I think.
- The opening was something like, you and your friends/team/group/whatever, were sailing on a raft/boat, and you have a pet dinosaur apparently. I think it was a triceratops, but I'm not sure. So I think your raft/boat, starting to sink, and the group turns into animals to stop it from sinking..? Well somehow they crashed onto this island, and their pet dinosaur ran away. So now you're told top search the island while looking for your pet dinosaur.
-On the island you find stuff like stone walls with faces in it, and a labyrinth that's said to contain a minotaur.
-I remember following dinosaur tracks, only to be scared shitless because this animated dinosaur came out of nowhere from behind a tree and started running toward me.
-Throughout the game, you can find animal shaped symbols in certain areas. If you click them, I think they gave you an ability or some shit. I remember finding a bat symbol in a cave area, and it proceeded with an animated cutscene of all these bats flying all over the place. Another icon was a scorpion I think, but I don't think there was any cutscene.
-It was a kids game, with colorful backgrounds.

Mischief Makers and Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon were both so awesome. They were both so wacky video games, I mean, Mischief Makers has you as a robot maid fighting against evil wtf looking aliens to save your creator and Goemon had you travelling across all over Japan to stop the Peach Mountain Shoguns who wanted to turn Japan into their dancing stage! They both deserved so much more credit then they got.

Space Channel 5 is another obscure game I enjoyed. You had to dance against aliens to defeat them as rookie reporter Ulala. Best fun I ever had with a game. UP DOWN, UP DOWN DOWN CHU CHU CHU! Totally needs a sequel on Wii, it works too well.

I actually felt Billy Hatcher was one of the cleverest games I ever played. You play as Billy, and have to use an egg to move around, so you can jump, roll and defeat enemies and collect emblems. A bit like Mario Sunshine. Another game that could take advantage of the Wii with a sequel.

Sword of Mana was a GBA game I rather enjoyed. You either played as a boy, and had to avenge your parents who died at the hands of the Granz Realm. Or, you played as a girl, and had to escape hunters while searching for your real mother...a very fun game, I dunno why, but I enjoyed the scenes playing as the girl when you were held captive in the airship. That was...just fun, I dunno why. XD

Game and Watch Gallery Advance...man, this was great. Don't let the title fool you, 12 games in one, and that's just the modern versions! Not to mention it's immensely fun to beat your scores...I play a mean Peach in Chef.

I also agree with Silicon Valley. I can't remember much, but damn, THAT was an awesome game. I know that.

A creepy first person point and click. You are awaken in a room, alone, no memory with the only clue being the word Theresia. There are traps everywhere and you have to go through it all to reach the end. To get through you have to read the clues before touching things(ex. there blood covering this book. basically meaning it a trap)

Sounds a lot like the NES game Deja Vu.

I think I seen the name but never heard of it.

Looks like it first came out as a computer game.
