Well, deciding which is better is a matter of opinion. Super Sonic is more difficult to control, as you have to really speed up to hit the opponents hard and your control decreases as you move, while Pikachu's volt tackle is much easier to hit as it has a better overall range. Not to mention that super sonic is easy to avoid, especially if you can dodge well.

I don't find that to be the case, actually. A lot of the final smashes are very different from each other, with seperate strategies and tactics that need to be applied to use them effectively. For example, Diddy Kong's Rocketbarrel Barrage requires percise aim by angling your shots as you move, rather than directly attacking them as in Wario's FS, Warioman. There are a few that are similar - or in the case of the Star Fox characters, almost entire the same with slight differences - but for the most part they are all unique from each other in several ways.

Wario is rather easy to use. He's strong, and his strength works well with his quick, mostly low-lag moves. His FS is, unlike most others, a direct power-up of his regular moves, and with his greater speed can be turned into combos effortlessly. He can be hard to fight when facing a good Wario player, believe me.
As for Captain Falcon's FS, the easiest way to hit someone with it is to lure them over to you first. The FS only works if they're right next to you, after all.

It's just it gets a little annoying waiting to fully power his fart attack normally I just save it for his transformation and his recovery special I don't think gets much height and no horizontal distance but its more an offensive move I figure. His bike is fun to use but I don't find it deals enough damage and is sometimes hard to get going.
Though about Wario in Brawl I love the fact they included his original outfit back in his invincible games just so much nostalgia
Especially when I see one of his smash moves is his good old fashioned shoulder ram attack a true Wario Classic.Yet my favourite Final Smash is the Negative zone....partially because Luigi is my favourite dude from the Marioverse but because it's so unique and different nothing like anything else....though it does continue the kinda theme that Luigi has some dark power to him

Surely all this 'tier' stuff is a load of rubbish, created by fanboys who have nothing else better to do, right? (Seeing as Dedede is apparently a "top tier" character, I'm leaning heavily towards that conclusion.)

However they are given far to much attention online which results with everyone and their mother choosing the higher tier characters, rather than their actual favourite characters. The reality is unless you are actually playing in tournaments tiers mean absolutely nothing.

You hit the nail on the head, except for Brawl being more balanced than Melee. In Melee, you had High - Top Characters winning major tournys. Now, the only players that can get far in major tournys (In Brawl) Are, Snake, Meta Knight, D3, Toon Link, and G&W, (I believe, it may have changed since the discovery of Meta's IDC)

On both of those (and SBR's) tier list, the first seven (in particular order) are always Meta Knight, Snake, Game and Watch, ROB, DDD, Marth and Falco, and the bottom is always Captain Falcon.

Actually, the gap between the tiers is so far, if your name isn't Snake, Meta Knight, G&W, D3, or Tink, there's no way in heck you can get far in the tourny (You also have to be skilled with the characters.)
In Melee: A skilled Fox, Falco, Marth, Peach, Sheik, Cpt. Falcon, Ice Climbers could win a major tourny. The gap also wasn
t that big also. (I.E a skilled Mewtwo, has a CHANCE of beating Sheik.)

Yeah, pretty much. Every fighting game is going to have tiers unless every character plays exactly the same. The thing about tiers though, is that they're not painfully obvious as soon as you start playing the game. Usually, a solid tier list will be made based on a ton of tournament results, not just theory or favoritism.
I tend to pay attention to them more that I should, but I usually gravitate towards characters that I'm used to or fit my playing style. When I played Melee, I started out using Pikachu, who was I *think* tier 5 or so according to Smash Boards. After awhile though, I started using Peach, who was tier 2 because I liked her move set and she was just all around better. I also dabbled with some other characters like C. Faclon and Roy because I liked his pace a bit better than Marth's. I never did completely drop Pikachu though. I started maining Pikachu when Brawl came out because he had been improved a ton while Peach had been nerfed a ton and I still liked both characters.
Tiers rarely come into view when playing casually, but if a character just plain sucks I'm going to be less inclined to use them. I use C. Falcon a lot less now in Brawl than I did in Melee because of this.

Wow. I just saw that run on Smash Service today.
Also, I've finally discovered which characters I'm good with. I'll admit it, I neglected them a lot when I first started playing, but now I always play as either Jigglypuff or Zelda. I'm still not so great at aiming Rest, but after knocking them off the stage, I can pursue them and keep dropkicking them until they go off the screen, and that is so satisfying. Harder to perform on human opponents, but I don't need to worry about that, seeing as my friends list is only two people. I'm also pretty good at hitting the sweetspot with Zelda's air moves.

Trust me, as someone has has been maining Jigglypuff since the original game, Rest has never been an easy move to land. Unfortunely, Rest got neutered in Brawl and really isn't worth using anymore even with the Lip Flower effect. Dropkick blocking is always a useful move for Jigglypuff. The only problem is that it's predictable after awhile. Try mixing in a Pound ever once in a while.

PROOF!!!!!!!!!; that tiers are just plain BS. Any character can be used well to kick another character's ass. It's all in the way the user plays the game. There's definately a difference in power and speed ranging all over the board, but it all comes down to technique.

Sure there are good low tier players, but most of the good players use Snake, Dedede and Metaknight, because it's better to have good technique and a good character rather than good technique and a crappy one. And the difference is that power and speed, among other things, like Dedede's chaingrab.
There's gonna be a tier list in every fighter.

A Super Smash Lawers game!!!!
It could have all the Ace Attorney characters
: His final smash could be 'Pysche Lock', chains flash across the screen damaging all the other players then 1 to 5 locks appeare, then they shatter.
:Perceive System, it could work like the Dragoon from Brawl you aim with the eye and shout 'Gotcha!', you have a total of 3 shots to hit the other players, if the attack hits it's an automatic KO.
: Cravat of DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!! a giant edgy appears on the side of the stage and shoots frilly-things from his cravat, killing everyone.
:The Fragrance of Dark Coffee, while his theme playing a giant Godot pours steaming hot coffee on all the other players.

I never understood this 'tier' stuff, I just tend to go for characters I know I'm good with, Link, Ike, Pit, MetaKnight, Kirby, Zelda/Sheik, Samus (and the Zero Suit Samus), Peach and Marth
