I remember once my former best friend said she would kill herself if I died. She is not a lesbian nor bi, but I actually never got the hang of that. She was, well, idolizing me, and thought I was so funny, I suppose. I'm happy she's not considering that anymore.

And obivously, there are different reasons for wanting to commit suicide because of a loss...it can be a friend, family, idol anything...it doesn't HAVE to be romantic, obviously. But romantic feelings certainly ARE reason that people commit suicide, so the possibility can't be entirely ruled out. It's a matter of viewpoint really, just like most PW pairings ^^

Huh.
Since I went and read some fanfiction after that encounter but before actually playing the game myself, I can't say what convinced me with certainty. Or if I would have made the Franziska/Adrian connection on my own. Although I do have a habit of pointing at two girls and going "YOU! BOTH OF YOU! YOU - HOTS FOR HER"...I really can't say if that would have crossed my mind. It's one of those questions that I'll never ever be able to answer.
However, something to think about: My first choice would probably be to pair her up with a man (because I like giving my favorite characters romance ~)
However, there...aren't any that work with Adrian (...Matt? Oh hell no)
So my next thing would be with a girl, and well...there's Franziska.
Really I have no idea.
I feel bad saying that Funk/Raelle convinced me, because that would make me one of millions (and millions! [/King Drake]) of people that say the same, but...I've already said that the line is hazy.
Not saying that Funk or Raelle are bad or putting down anybody. No really!

Ah-ha. I see. Oh, well, alright then. That was an interesting response. ...And I guess I don't have much else to add. Funk and Raelle are INCREDIBLY talented individuals, and I could see how they might have had a hand in influencing you to like Friskian. Certainly had ME obsessed for awhile, lol.
Oh, but looky here. You said your instinct initially would be to pair Andy up with a guy, right? What about Phoenix? Wouldn't you say he qualifies as a knight in shining armor, a hero to whom she could cling? Even if she doesn't naturally gravitate towards men, I'd say Nick's done enough to show Andy that not all men are pigs.

Anyway, on topic: I'm pleased you agree with both of us, Azure. I love the Friskian pairing, too, of course. Domestically, they're very cute and these fine people have done a brilliant job of making it seem frighteningly canon. In fact, at one stage I started to think it WAS canon and that I'd just missed something.
Yeah, I just wanted to say that I like Friskian, in case anybody was wondering.
But I'm growing incredibly fond of Phoenixian now, too....

In the end, she says something that makes you think that she begins to trust Nick and Miles, maybe even men alltogether.
That being said, I'm still a Fradrian fan. I'm just giving putting her in that bi area.

Um, anyways... for NickxAdrian... I don't like it much. I don't see it happening, I don't see their personalities working together romantically very well
For example, it was Franziska that left Adrian with the note to call, not Phoenix. And think about it - Franziska did so even though she did her best to come through for Andy - prove her innocence in the first place, and then burst in with evidence at the eleventh hour - despite a bullet wound - while Phoenix nearly deliberately got her accused her of murder. Who is in her debt more? Who should have been the one to leave her a note telling her to call in the case of troube? But who actually did?
After all, would you fall for the person who tried - knowing full-well you were innocent - to get you accused of murder - a murder commited by the man responsible for the person you loved most in the world's death - regardless of the circumstances? I think Adrian's a bit smarter than that, don't you? She even has her vengeful streak... though I don't think she'd go that far. Yes, she is grateful to Phoenix and Miles after the trial, but neither of them offer to keep in contact in case something happens.
As for Phoenix... you get to be inside his thoughts for the whole case. From when he sees her as the icy-cold manager of your innocent client to her breaking down in the stand as you accuse her of murder. I don't remember spotting one line or phrase or whatever that hinted at an attraction to her during the whole debacle. If you did, please correct me, but I honestly don't think there's anything there.
Phoenix can be sympathetic when he wants to be - he's caring for and devoted to Miles during 1-4, he's sympathetic and protective of Maya during 1-2, 2-2 and 2-4... but there is very little to suggest he harbours any kind of even vaguely romantic feelings towards Adrian. Sure, she's "the enemy", but the fact he feels so guilty during 2-4 was just because he was accusing an innocent person, I felt, not because it was specifically Adrian. If he truly cared about her, there was much he could have done - prevented Miles from telling the court about her co-dependancy (which she feared more than death), objected to the 'suicide note' being read aloud (her strongest ambition in life after losing Celeste) or, um, not accused her of a murder he knew she hadn't commited.
Phoenix isn't a bad guy. He was acting according to what he felt was right, took Maya's life as a priority and Adrian wasn't accused in the end. However, I find it hard to believe that, no matter what the circumstances were, a person would act that way towards someone they loved.

@eliasbloodmoon: Well, obviously there's no way to know for SURE whether or not Adrian's a lesbian. Celeste could just be an idol, Franziska could just be a friend, and it could just be her codependancy. But the thing is, since her orientation isn't STATED and she gravitates more towards women than men, it's not all that out of the question to guess that she's a lesbian, since she's so picky about who she latches onto (She only chose Franziska two years after Celeste had died, and both were strong career women). No way to know for sure of course, and given that the guys in her life are jerks there's no real males to pair her up with anyway ^^
