Unfortunately, the image is blurry, so it's not possible to verify it's authenticity, but it is certainly interesting...

Those of you out there that were disappointed at "No Phoenix in Brawl" may have it made up with this. For some reason, should this be true... Phoenix vs. Speed Racer just sounds far too appealing. ^^
And because I'm apparently blind, I'll just point out where he is... he's the large dark chibi-style thing in the foreground.

The image isn't too great, I know. I'm not the original source, however... so this could be like those blurry images of Brawl, too. Where the entire roster of 48 characters appeared and it was all blurry. >.>;

It's unfortunate that in my posting that, it makes me look like a fool. Of course, it's not like I have any proper image editing tools, I'm just a network technician, image modification isn't part of my skill set.

Nah, you did the right thing, and it took me a good 15 minutes to come up with what I did with Photoshop. The lighting was just plain bad on that image. Half the time I thought there was a shadow, and then it would disappear when continuing the adjustive lighting process. In the end there was no shadow, which could've meant that it could've been a part of the image. Except, it's design clearly is the plushy, and we haven't seen any plushy 'art'. It was hard to figure out, but it is the plush. So don't feel bad, this wasn't particularly obvious and had me stumped for a good part of playing in Photoshop.

I mean, it's a plush, yes, but why would Capcom put the image with a Phoenix plush over a Tatsunoko vs Capcom poster? From my point of view that pretty much confirms that Phoenix will appear in the game.
That or Capcom likes to play with us in a really bad way :(

If those are all the Capcom characters, that's an extremely weak line up ='( I mean, what's a VS game without Captain Commando or Strider? I also can't believe that they wouldn't take this as an opportunity to include Dante in a fighting game. Oh well, I was really considering importing this, but it doesn't seem worth it if the line up is that lackluster.

There are a few key characters missing that would basically ruin the game if they're not included. In particular, Speed Racer. Yes, I know, he isn't necessarily going to be involved... but as one of Tatsunoko's best-known characters, he almost has to be in the game.
Truth be told, it's unlikely. The hint of the picture from Capcom could just be that they love TvC. Further evidence that those of us in the US may actually get it. Other than that, the fact it was Phoenix meant nothing. In fact, the entire thing probably meant nothing... I bet they never expected anyone to speculate over it at all. I mean, the last few items on the whiteboard over on Capcom Unity have been LOLCats... >.>;
But when it comes down to it, the game is built on opposites. Every Tatsunoko character has an equivalent from Capcom. If you ask me... a perfect equal for Phoenix is Speed Racer. Think about it. Crazy outfits. Crazy backgrounds. Yelling stuff repeatedly! It works in some way. Whether or not it turns out that way, I don't know. But it'd sure be great if it did! :3

......I dunno...Sorry But what the others are saying is that we don't know the full roster yet. Those 17 characters almost definitely aren't everyone in the game - there are still characters left to be announced.

A lot of that evidence is lethal weapons! Plus you have an opportunity for humor. Anything can be evidence ANYTHING! He can chuck cats or bacon or Cold Killer X at people! Maybe even people, since you can present them as evidence in JFA and T&T.
...and just imagine Phoenix yelling TAKE THAT as he throws a Winston Payne at someone!

i don't think so. if you're unaware, capcom USA has hinted at and even announced things through the whiteboard, such as preorder bonuses and the like. it doesn't seem too far fetched that they'd hint at something like this.

What I meant is The GS arc are usually seen in the DS.Why not seeing them appear in a BIGGER system and BETTER graphics..? Imagine,Phoenix playable for the XBOX 360/PS3..Isn't it wonderful?

But getting decked in one punch from Armstrong (of all people) doesn't bode well, does it? Not to mention Pearl slapping him unconcious at the end of 3-2...
Anyway, this is as believeable as Payne being unlockable in the next Super Smash Bros. game!
