Actually, considering how WCC is basically the new "L-Block" here, I'm not surprised... One was from an "Underdog" game, and people voted for it as a joke, and chose to get it to the end for the hell of it. WCC is basically the same, it's an underdog "Character", so people would vote for it over, say, Mega Man.
It won't win the Character Battle, but I like how close it is!

ANYONE who bought Pokemon Yellow, and played it up to the FIRST Gym Leader, know how useless Pikachu was unless you got it "Surf" via the "Special Method"... Dear lord, in Red and Blue, you had a decent chance of beating Brock with ANY of the 3! In Yellow, you're basically forced to evolve a Nidoran (Male or Female), and a CATERPIE (Fully Evolve, naturally)... I hated that freakin' Mouse... (Pikachu is "The Mouse Pokemon"... I haven't forgotten EVERYTHING about that show...)
Samus Aran... The first "Lady of Video Games"... Screw Peach and Zelda, it took Peach 20 freakin' years for her to actually SAVE anyone in a game by HERSELF! Peach's first appearance? 1985. Samus? 1986!
... And yes, I hope Crono makes it at least a BIT further...
