I got this game...oh, in the summer (the wii version), and I adored it to pieces. It's like Zelda, but way better. It has a fantastic story of Japanese legends and myths, interesting characters and a lovely style.
I recently completed it as well, and the ending is so brilliant. ^_^
Now, I'll get this out of the way, here and now.

Oh well, here's to a revival!
I much prefer the PS2 version to the Wii version, but it still remains to be one of my most favorite games.
Oh, and you don't HAVE to collect Demon Fangs (which is why you get that urinating skill) it just gives you a better score at the end and allows you to buy some cool stuff. It's not necessary.

I do hear you on the sun thing though.
And I don't get why when a game becomes old, it's thread here has to die. Can't we keep some threads on games alive?
Lechku and Nechku was the best though. Very fun bosses.

Ninetales, Crimson Helm, and Spider Queen are fun too.
Although, I guess I have to agree with Orochi being my favorite.
Also, I thought the final boss was really creative.

Ninetails was quite fun. A bit eh, but fun. Crimson Helm, Blank and Spider Queen were great.
I like Orochi, he had a great way of having to be beaten. but the process of beating him is just so drawn out and long. It's too annoying to be really great.

That..that...IS AWESOME!!!
I borrowed Okami from my friend...It took my 35 hours to beat, a very long time for me ad I was glad! An epic story that I must see its play... I could summon in the final fight...
Also, I got Cherry blossoms for everything at the end!! I love changing into any of 8 forms i get for doing the game perfectly...Expect I did not get every bead which gives you the best weapon in the entire game. If you don't know it gives you God Mode, infinite ink, and some other thing....Also..That paper race was beyond easy for me...
And for looking here you all get something!

If you haven't past it yet, did you think about slowing down time while racing the paper? Also, getting a full speed run before stepping on that Paper's pad also helps. And if you think this race is hard, wait until you get close to the end of the game.

If you haven't past it yet, did you think about slowing down time while racing the paper? Also, getting a full speed run before stepping on that Paper's pad also helps. And if you think this race is hard, wait until you get close to the end of the game.
I tried slowing down twice I think but it didn't really work and yeah I always use full speed before stepping on the pad. I'll try using the slow motion when it gets to the bad camera angle part. I've never been good at timed things
Harder timed things? Oh geez D: oh well at least it doesn't get easier throughout the game *coughkh2cough*

I'd love to see a full flesh version of an Okami Caramelldansen. D: That's one is very good, but with Kushi, Susano, Rao, Madam Fawn, Kaguya, Waka, Queen Himiko, Oki, Lika, Kai...
And yeah, using Veil of the Mist should help you in the race.

It doesn't seem like it but it's effective. Try using the slow down when you start the race and then doing it when it reaches the last clock. It requires a fast hand but once you got down, you'll be able to finish most the game a little eaiser.
Oh, I forgot to mention about the later races, you have get past several traps like thorn walls you have to jump into and those annoying fruit flinging trees and still win. Oh, and time slow down doesn't work in this race, oddly enough. And you might have do it several times if you want all secrets hidden in the race and the praise. Have Fun.

That's extremely odd. Maybe your game was glitched or something.
Okami isn't actually glitch proof considering in my game, Ammy lost her head after fighting one of Canine Warriors in the hot springs area.
I even saved a picture of it:

And when I ran passed any of the Sparrow people like, they vanished into the floor with only they're food trays floating in the air. And then when I went into the throne room with Sparrow Mafia's leader, I fell into the floor and dropped back in the lobby. And when I went back, The whole room was gone, completely gone.

That was a scary glitch. O_o And, bizarrely enough, that's not the first time that glitch has happened to me in video games.

I first played it for the PS2, and now I'm playing it again on the Wii! In my opinion, the controls are easier for the PS2, but I still love it!!
