But seriously, up until Obama's speech at midnight, it was ABSOLUTELY INSANE outside. People were so excited and celebrating it was crazy. Fireworks, firecrackers, shouting, streaking, the works.
Myself I hung around inside with my friends and celebrated in a slightly milder manner.

I see Jesse Jackson was there smiling as Barack gave his acceptance speech. We'll see how long that smile stays on his face. A little while ago, he accused Barack of "talkin' down to black people" under his breath, expressing a wish to "cut his nuts off". 
John McCain lost. Oh well. He wasn't exactly my first choice anyway. Palin in '12! Meanwhile, I will say that Obama gave a pretty good speech--probably the best I could hope for from one of his loyalties short of a concession. I just hope I can trust him to look out for Israel. *crosses fingers*
