The Metal Gear series wasn't a game. It was an interactive movie with gameplay in between the cutscenes.

Were you paying attention to the games?

Actually, it was a game... Now, if you mean the "Metal Gear Solid" series...

That reminds me of this quote..

Quote:
"Currently a film adaptation of the Metal Gear Solid series is planned, which is pointless as the series already is a film series. A Metal Gear Solid video game adaptation would make more sense."
Encyclopedia Dramatica's page on Metal Gear Solid

One of the funniest things I've ever read... :moe-laugh:

That's putting it a bit euphemistically, isn't it?

Anyway, I'd like to see a film based on the Metroid series...with enough differences so that it doesn't look like an Aliens spin-off/rip-off. As to who'd play the role of Samus, I have no idea, to be honest.

If there ever will be a Metroid movie, I'd be pretty showrt and have NO lines whatsoever. Samus wouldn't take of her helmet, either. So about her actor: It doesn't matter, since we won't see her face (hopefully).

You've obviously haven't played Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, have you? :welly:

There's plenty of dialogue in there (albeit none by Samus herself, admittedly). Besides I don't remember there being much dialogue in Super Mario Bros., yet a film was still made about it. :haha:

To be honest, no. I wish I have. However, there was a lot of dialogue in Metroid fusion. I still think a silent Metroid movie would create a very special atmosphere wich won't be found in too many other videogame-movies.

Wich SUCKED!! Nor was there too much dialogue in Street fighter. Nuff said. (pardon the expression)

I still think a Tekken movie would suck.

Apparently, according to ONM (offical nintendo magazine, anyone in the UK should be able to get a copy from local newsagents), the guy who made a Jackie Chan film is considering making a Guitar Hero film...

The ending quote of the article is 'stick to making Jackie Chan films'

I didn't see it in the magazine, but I read about this on the internet. I love Guitar Hero, but a film? Seriously? It would suck bad.

You don't happen to visit the ONM forums do you?

I'm planning to make an account and check out the forums...maybe get a subscription...

The issue with the quote in is issue 35, you know, the one with Sonic on the front, you should find it on page 12

And I'm entirely against a Guitar Hero movie, that'll probably ruin everything and it'll make me end up spending 3 days with a Guitar Hero game case, shoving it in my friend's faces and screamed "IT'S RUINED...RUINED!!!"
