Just got Little Big Planet for the PS3. The first game I'm actually spending money on for the PS3. Other games so far weren't bought by me, but it's Ratchet & Clank Future Tools of Destruction, Turok, Sonic The Hedgehog, and Blazing Angels 2.

I remember I bought a used star fox adventures for gamecube at GameStop and it worked perfectly.
not everything at GameStop doesn't work incorrectly.
some may work incorrectly, like your used Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

That's unusually odd. Gamestop normal test there game but I guess one does slip pass them every now and then. I had the same thing happen once with a game. Just go back and get your money back. I brought PMTTYD from Gamestop used and it worked fine for me. If you can get your money back and shop online, I would doing that, I know a few sites like Amazon still have it.
I picked up Rayman's Raving Rabbids last week out of Walmart's Bargain Bin. It was buried under so many copies of Petz/Build-a-Bear games and leftover Cooking Mama/Hotel Dusks reprints, it wasn't funny. I have few on order online, but I'll post those later.

Today I went back and the lady said that they don't have nearly enough time to test ALL of their used games. So I guess this one slipped through.
So she looked up a nearby GameStop that had one available, so I went there and traded in the broken one for a new one. The clerk there was surprised that the disc was even sold to me and suspected the "weird stuff" on the inner ring of plastic to be some sort of corrosion. Like maybe the previous owneer spilled soda on it or something like that.
