I have a bad habit of typing ":yuusaku:" in IM chats. I can usually find a way to make emotes without resorting to CR ones, but I have my friends trained to know what that one means for when ":/" just doesn't cut it.

It's really easy to get our World Civ on loooong tangents of completely irrelevant information(e.g. "Why Star Wars Was Influential to History", "This Is A LECTERN, Not A PODIUM!", "Keanu Reeves In Popular Culture", etc), and I finally managed to get him on a ramble about Phoenix Wright! :D
Well, it started as a ramble on "The Singular/Plural Form of Swirlie and Wedgie", and I eventually managed to stick in "Well, Edgeworth is often called Edgey", and then "Worthy" and "Right-o" and Gant and etc etc. It was so fun, even though he knew nothing about it
Eventually, however, the class got extremely annoyed and he got back on-topic

Using Phoenix Wright songs in your school project.
We had to make a soundtrack for The Scarlet Letter (to anyone who has ever read this book, you have my deepest sympathies). We had to have five songs- one to match each of the main characters, and one to match the entire thing. For my first five, I did country music. Then...the bonus tracks.
