"Aha yes may the best fighter win" Minny said smiling. She then turned to Lydia "Alright then, good thing too considering we're going to be fighting soon." Minny then thought to herself I wonder if anyone here is my age, I mean everyone here that I've met is at least 16, I guess it is a little weird for a 10-year-old girl to be fighting. But I guess that just makes me skilled Minny then smiled and laughed quietly to herself. I hope my first fight will be, interesting.

"AAAAAHHH! I....I...don't know what to do...(Think dammit!...wait...its a long shot but it might work!)
"So Rygar...you think you can win eh?...as scared as I am I'm not stoping this attack! In fact...I'll make things more interesting!"
Shrum jerked his head up. His weapon seemed almost...afraid...Shrum yelled"DO IT! COME TO YOUR WEILDER!"
The cross trembled...but aimed higher. Shrum was directing the attack straight toward his own head...

"No matter what happens Rygar...you won't be beating me..." (I hope this works...)
"NOW! CHARGE!" Shrum yelled with near insanity. The crowd was gasping, panicing, and even looked a little sick. They know that a blow to the head like this, no matter how strong the fighter, would be 100% fatal...

And so did Shrum.
The weapon charged forward still aiming for Shrum's head.

"Surprise dipshit!"

The weapon was right inbetween Shrum's teeth. A small bit of blood and bone came out of his mouth, but he wasn't letting go.
"mhgnw nmgyar gmf uvar"
He jerked his head and the wide end of his blade hit Rygar in the back of his head ((Not stabbed/cutted HIT)) Shrum dropped the cross out of his mouth"In english. Now Rygar" He spat "GAME OVER" He went over to the body on the ground and gave a final strike. No jumping desperation move, no soul strike, none of that.

Just a good old fashioned punch in the face.

"Good match."

Rygar went flying... he landed on the ground face up and didn't appear to move... at least for a few seconds... but then Rygar slowly got back up... bleeding from a cut lip, but he seemed alright... even with the damage done to his head.

"Nice attack... but you've done more damage to yourself than you have to me," He then said, "I'm not quite like normal people, you know... under different circumstances, had I been weaker, I would have died from that last attack... I told you, I'm not going to be easy for you to take down."

Yungmie and Reiji were backstage with the other fighters, having been watching the scene.

"Ah! He took all that and everything... and he can still get up?" Reiji gasped, "What is he? He's got more endurance than a regular human... just what is this guy?"

"Where he comes from, he's probably got a lot of extensive training and broke the human limits... at least, that's what I assume..." Yungmie replied.

Hubris kept watching, a mixture of excitement and calm pressure racing through his head. On the one hand the fight he would have against any of these two would be an epic one, but on the other...

"Can I make a bet," Hubris said to Kory, next to him. "that the next heavy blow either of these guys takes will be the finisher?"

"Oh please. A few chipped teeth and some minor bleeding. Though I am impressed...you really are something." Shrum rewraped his face to slow the bleeding. "However...Im not done yet. Not by a longshot." Shrum shook a bit and coughed. "But even so...we all have limits. Both me and you...and we are both starting to reach them. That last move I did prooves how far I will go to win." Shrum looked deep into Rygar's eyes. "If this keeps up this won't end anytime soon...." Shrum sighed sadly "Which is why Im going to ask you this Rygar." Shrum walked slowly towards him "Give up." He then moved much faster running circles around him "Or you may make me do some thing I don't want to" Shrum triped Rygar and gave him a good kick. "Catch fool!" He tossed his cross once again this time having it come around from behind.

(The idea has actually crossed in my head, but I don't know if Lydia's mentally strong enough to like...get to the final round, that seems to be the only place that she'll fight Kory.)

"D-Do you perhaps...go there as w-well? What a-a coincidence!" She spoke nervously. He did seem like a nice guy though. And pretty handsome...she had to admit that.

"I...I saw your fight just now...you're really great." She blushed again, and held Mr Cuddles up to her face so Kory wouldn't see it.

"Gladly!!" Rygar growled, twisting his body to catch the cross as it came at him. He caught it alright. The force of the cross landed in his hands, dragging him backwards until it smashed him into the wall. The armor he wore protected him somewhat from the impact... he endured the brunt of the force. But it did sort of bruise his ribs...

"I'm not going to give up," Rygar said... as his Diskarmor began to glow once more. He then threw the cross back at Shrum with a yell, "The only way one of us will win is if the other stops fighting!"

"Fine by me!" Shrum cought the cross and, like Rygar's weapons, it too began to glow. So hot that his new wrap burned clean off. "Im not gonna give up! If this fight lasts until the moon is high then so be it!"

"Show me Rygar...GIVE ME A REASON TO STOP FIGHTING!"

He knocked the diskmar away, but the force hurt his arms a bit. "That all ya got?"

Ha, looks like Kory and Lydia are having an interesting chat, I think I'll leave them alone for now. Minny gave a quick laugh a walked away, she never knew if she were to fight these guys later on, so she should probably watch them.

"Not at all." Rygar then caught the diskarmor in midair and began wailing rapidly into Shrum's body with his weapon. He unleashed several fierce swings and attacks with the Hades Diskarmor before finishing the combo off with a flip forward, slamming the weapon down into Shrum. As it hit, it would unleash a giant explosion of flame! "HYAAAAAH!!!"

"ugh...*Cough* good thing this cloak is somewhat fire proof...I think...But I have a trick or two up my cloak." Shrum pulled out a smaller wooden cross. "Playing with fire? Sounds great." The cross was lit a blaze with blue fire. "Have fun catching this one!" Shrum tossed both crosses at Rygar, burning him and pushing him back."Gotta think on my toes..."

Rygar took the blast easily, "My clothes... are also fire-proof!!" He cried, though he did feel some burns from the effect... he ignored the pain the best he could as he dashed in. He then switched to the Heavenly Diskarmor and flung it out at Shrum, which wrapped around him. He unleashed a gigantic burst of electric energy that would hit each and every one of his nerves, hitting him with as many volts as the diskarmor can unleash before throwing him airborne, switching to the Hades Diskarmor, and juggling him repeatedly in the air before wrapping the chain around his leg, then swung him over head several times before hurling him to the ground.

He's making me draw out my better attacks, thought Rygar, It's like he wants me to lose the next match... he can't go on for much longer... but if this keeps up... I'll have to summon the guardians in the Diskarmors.

"gotta...get...up..." (damn...lucky my eyes cant feel this) Shrum struggled to his feet and said"Nice...shot...but Im not about to quit...you can bet your life on it..." Shrum's voice echoed slightly as he stuck his cross into the ground. He took a large jump and landed on it. He began an incantation:
"A songbird far off hym...a force that forever holds the sorrow...show thyself and guide this strike...
forever binding...shackels of light.A blue mist hazed out of the cross.

The arena was covered in a haze of mist. Shrum was tired and hurt so he hoped to buy some time. The mist is good for about two minutes, so he had to make his move soon.(Now that he cant see me...)
Shrum moved behind him and placed another wooden flare. He knew Rygar would go for it. Vision is important in fog. Shrum knew it would work

...what was that I learned back when I was training to be a gladiator... yes... that's right... Rygar thought, recalling his lessons... When your vision cannot help you... rely on your sixth sense.

Rygar began to focus. He could feel heat coming from behind him... but he didn't focus on just that. He stood in place and concentrated hard, relaxing himself, and kept focus. He had to keep his mind...

...everywhere... He thought, ...my mind, my senses... they must be all over the arena. They must encompass the world around me. The answer and opportunity... it'll come. If I do what he wants... it'll turn the tides in his favor...

(Smarter than I thought...ah well the heat should provide enough distraction) Shrum silently snuck to the side of Rygar, he rarely used this attack, but he knew how to use it effectively.
He whispered "Boo you fool" and as Rygar senses locked onto him, he scored a clean cut across Rygar's right arm. The mist began clearing and it was back to head on fighting. "Seems you trained for this, but when you can see through this stuff it gives you a LITTLE more of an advantage." Unknowingly Shrum stepped within very close range of Rygar.

He prepared for the hell he would face for such a cheap shot.

"Nah, I had to learn by myself," Kory said. "It's quite funny really. What got me started on the staff was a fight with some bullies. They were picking on a friend of mine. When I interfered, they started to try to beat me up. This was outside, of course. I picked up the nearest thing I could find, which happened to be a stick, and starting beating the crap out of them with it. Nobody picked on any of my friends ever since." He smiled warmly.

Rygar unleashed a lightning attack just then with the Heavenly Diskarmor while his opponent was right next to him. His arm (which wasn't his weapon arm as that was protected, fortunately) began to ooze blood from the wound... but he had pretty much forgotten about the newly-made injury the instant he attacked Shrum. As it hit, an explosion of raw lightning found its way coursing through Shrum's body as it sent him through the air, "I've had good teachers..."

"Light attacks on a monk? Nice try!"(Damn that kinda hurt....) Shrum tossed the cross at Rygar's lame arm "Catch it now!" he said boldly. He ran to the left of Rygar and commanded the cross back, hitting Rygars left leg (though not as clean as the arm strike) "I just gotta keep at it and I will win!" Shrum was still shaken from the battle, so he retreated back to plan his next move.

"My motive for taking the treasures is not just for power. I'm going to break the seal that the rival clans put on the Kohryu. Succeed where my ancestors failed. More power to me, better chance of surviving the aftermath. I need to awaken the Kohryu anyway because there are people who'll awaken other monstrous beings who may destroy all in their paths. I'd rather avoid the apocalypse." Orochi simply blew out more smoke the other direction and looked at Sayuka.
"Kohryu was sealed thousands of years ago because at the time, its rebellious nature was intolerable to other clans. It was a rather united front back then. But now that there are houses of blood-borne treasures whose powers are from an evil diety, people are coming to my clan, kissing our asses because we're the only type who can absorb multiple treasures at once without dying or destroying everything indiscriminately. In other words, we know what we're doing."
Scoffing at himself, he simply looked to the sky. The powers he had taken were keeping him alive. He should have been dead, but the fact that he continually renewed himself via life absorption... allowed him to fight for as long as he has. He had no choice, the people who killed his clan were up to no good. And he was the only one who could stop them if his clan members weren't that stupid as they were centuries ago.

Rygar felt increasing pain in his limbs from that last attack... but he decided he was going to end it...

"I didn't want to have to do this... but it seems I've grown tired of the fighting." Rygar said, as he suddenly switched to the Sea Diskarmor and rose it high over his head, pointing skywards... lightning began to emit from it as the power built up quickly... when it reached it's apex, Rygar let out a heavenly shout...

"SIREEEEEN!!!" He cried. At that moment, a large seal formed from all around the arena... even enveloping Shrum. It glowed brightly, shining into the sky... the surrounding areas, the arena... everyone but him and Rygar... they all disappeared suddenly as the entire area became encased in a blue, watery form.

Just then, a godly, yet beautiful feminine form, blue in appearance from head to toe and wearing a mask with a visor appeared from the sky and dropped down in front of Rygar, facing Shrum... she watched him for a moment before she understood what to do.

"This... is one of the many powerful things a Diskarmor can do." Rygar said... "It looks like it's my turn to talk about how you can't escape now."

Siren, the creature summoned, smiled happily as she swept her arm through the air... just then, a wave of water came out from the ground and headed toward Shrum. It seemed harmless enough at first...

...until it transformed into large, barbed icicles.

They all slashed Shrum about, tossing him through the air, cutting him all over, and smaller icicles plunging into his flesh and invoking an extreme sense of freezing pain as they all landed into him. They would explode with even further power shortly after.

Then Siren threw her arm out and encased Shrum in ice for a brief moment, allowing Rygar to unleash one last final attack on his frozen foe that would cause some good damage, if not defeat him outright... he would run through Shrum, the Sea Diskarmor slashing him all around along with the ice before throwing him into the air...

"CHARYBDIS!"

With that... the summoned creature disappeared, as did the seal, and the world around it.

Hearing the chaos ensue in the arena, he smriked.
"That Rygar kid's got his match in the bag now. If you could hear all hell breaking loose you'd say the same thing, no?" Orochi chuckled as he sensed Shrum's defeat becoming more inevitable with each explosion. Heh. If I have to face him, I'll make sure his disk armor is shattered. He could probably force me into even Blood Rebellion if he's serious enough. Orochi merely put out the currently dead cigarette, blowing out its final puff of smoke.

Sayuka overheard Orochi's thoughts. Hey, it was a perk she had with being psychic. She knew that would be a bad idea... a very genuinely bad idea. She read about the Diskarmors once somewhere... she forgot where, but it may have been in a museum in Greece... huh, who'd have thought the guy who used them would show up in this time?

Shattering the Diskarmors would most likely kill everyone in this place. The magic contained in those things would be enough to dematerialize the atoms of everyone here, including Orochi himself, no matter how strong, resistant, resilient, or fast he was... she wouldn't tell him that unless he was really planning to do it though... part of it was because she actually sort of cared for him, and because she didn't want everyone else dying...

She wondered... was he really going to take her 'treasure' in the end to break his seal...? Would he do it to her when the time was right...? He seems like he wouldn't hesitate to do it once their own match was over... then again... people can be unpredictable sometimes.

Shrum woke up standing, but barely. The crowd screamed out of surprise. Heck Shrum even surprised himself! He felt like dying, but he knew J wouldn't let him live...or die it down!

He looked at Rygar and lauged histarically."Blame...m..y...stu...dent...Im not going down..."A faint Boston could be heard"wit' out all the fight I got left!"
Shrum sheathed his cross to balance himself and took his pupil's favorite stance

Hubris was surprised. It was about to reach the final showdown, the old standoff, the classic fist-fight to the end.
Made him wonder if it would be like those super-old classic boxing movies he had seen in his true time-period... Stoney or something... it didn't matter, all that did was the conflict.

"WOOOOO!!!" He cheered, jumping from his chair to shout with the crowds. "GO GET HIM! FINISH HIM!" He wasn't talking to anybody, really, but it still helped the excitement he felt.

Srum advanced forward and punched a few times "You ready?" Shrum scored a taunting jab. And for a moment you could see someone mimicking him. Every move he made.

"Very well then." Rygar reached over and put the Diskarmor on his back... then got into a fighting stance. You could tell that he had a lot of fighting experience in his stance... even though most of what he was taught was weapons fighting, he was taught how to fistfight just in case there was ever a situation in which he was disarmed.

Shrum cracked his neck "lets go!" Shrum danced around Rygar quickly, getting multiple jabs on Rygars chest and face "too slow!" Shrum (and J)proudly said.

He could feel a sudden surge of energy in his veins. Something was burning within. Noticing the sixes on his gloves were glowing, he looked at Sayuka.
"Looks like I won't be needing your power after all. I'll be.. back. Oh, and can you get me a hot dog?"
Ripping a hole in the space, he jumped into it, teleporting himself to a chamber seemingly below the arena.
There it was. Wrapped in a dragon's coils was a large black orb. And it was rather shiny.
However, it also talked. And it glowed as it talked. Which made Orochi think he was born in the wrong family.
"Ahem. Orochi, I take it?" Orochi was immediately annoyed.
"Yes I am Orochi, asshole. Look. I'm doing you a favor, so don't you even THINK about trying to disintegrate a single hair or part of me whatsoever. I." He formed a flame from his hand. "WILL" his eyes began to glow. "KILL YOU."
He could do it too. The full power of the Kohryu would soon be his regardless, but he had to make sure.
The giant orb spoke.
"I have been awakened by the energy given off by the battles above. I believe I can finally take a vessel."
"Take a vessel? Dumbass, you won't be taking a vessel, I'll be taking YOU."
"Damn you, Orochi! Just whose side are you on!?" "Mine." Fist was thrust in the orb as it cracked, energy shot up past the combatants above, destroying all in its path. A path of energy shot out in a random direction, striking an unsuspecting hotdog cart. Another one struck a nearby keg of beer, making it explode. Several cars were hit. People freaked out. Of course, they were the owners.
A rather maniacal laugh came from Orochi. He radiated power. It practically was steam coming from his body. Anyone who saw him then would think he just went Blood Riot. But they were the ones that only knew that Orochi Bloodline were the only crazy bastards around. But they aren't exactly...alive are they?

"What in the name of Argo...?!" Rygar gasped as the energy came busting out and wreaking havoc, his focus taken off Shrum and at the crazy events that just began to transpire, "What's going on?"

Even Komugi seemed alarmed... "What is this? He shouldn't be awake yet... unless... no... it can't be...!!" She then clinched her teeth and fists, shaking them with anger, "Shit! He wasn't ready!!"

"Wha-what's going on? This power..." Reiji could sense it... something big was going down... "...I don't like how it feels."

"Neither do I..." Replied a nearby Yungmie.

Sayuka was feeling uneasy too... and after having just gotten Orochi a hot dog before that cart went all to pieces, she lost her own appetite herself. Then again, she figured she'd have a lot more to worry about than whether or not she could eat something...

"YA-HA!!!!!!!!!!" Was the battlecry. Riding a large energy-made dragon, he flew around on it, probably causing a spectacle of sorts. Then he fell off. Why? He hit a support pillar when he wasn't looking forward. The dragon disappeared, but Orochi was on the floor among the rubble. He could take thousands of hits and yet he hits a pillar of steel at a high speed and he's on the floor.
"Ouch... Goddamn pole should watch where it's going."
Even Kohryu could feel that.
"Orochi, I hate you already." It said.
"Man, take a damn number and shut up. I have a headache." With that, he slumped among the rubble. Annoyed at the pole and Kohryu still talking.

"What in the name of--" Hubris swore as he felt the tremendous energy, as well as the arcs traveling from under the stage. "Well, if anybody around here is gonna do something, it had better be me-- too long until my fight, and no reason to hold back for this'n."

He left his seat, and made his way to the lobby, but came to an impasse. "Whatever it is, it's directly beneath the stadium... and I doubt there are any doors to a hidden basement..." He began to look carefully around, trying to find a way down to whatever it was down there, below.

None of the doors led anywhere remotely close, so he tried another angle-- getting to the nearest open area and waiting for this thing to rear it's mug.

By the time he returned to a window of the battle, he could see the cause, on the ground for some reason,but the energy emanating from him was assured.

Kicking a window, he jumped down through the falling glass to meet this guy head on.
"HEY! NO INTERRUPTING!" He shouted, landing... only to find nothing going on anymore. 'Hope they don't make me pay for that glass...'

"Man, I drive a fully customized S30 (he is a referring to his car) with 850 horsepower. Thing goes 200 on the freeway and you tell me to pay attention. I look back for a second and BAM. The pole rams into me. Being powerful sucks on that sole aspect, you know that?" He said, taking the hotdog with a laugh.
"I'm no wuss, so it's not much." He then took a bite out of it, quickly finishing the hot dog.
