Case in point: I initially dismissed Fox's new show "Lie to Me" as just another Monk/The Mentalist style show, which I don't really like. Forensics guy investigates crimes, has a wacky gimmick, etc. But then I found out what the wacky gimmick is: the main character observes his witnesses' body movements and subtle behaviours to tell if they are lying. Hmmmm.
