I don't see why you should feel sad when this thread has received, for the most part, negative or critical responses.
I argue that getting attention is an entirely different thing than getting mostly positive attention, which is what anyone should be really aiming for.

I guess I'm really more annoyed that sad. I posted my topic a day or two ago, but it hasn't had much traffic. I guess that could be a good thing since I don't seem to be inspiring hate among the other memebers here, but some con crit on my work would be nice.

Newly created threads in the Fanart forum move slowly, for the most part. You shouldn't be too annoyed about a lack of responses because really, it's to be expected. This isn't a fast-paced subforum.
Trust me, I've seen threads that died almost immediately. Starting a thread a day or two ago is nothing compared to others. I would just continue on updating work and posting updates. It's the best you can do.
