shipper but even then, something about it just...It was over. Maybe in some other universe it could've worked, but I just can't see it happening again. He believed in her. That doesn't mean he still loves her. Besides, he's changed so much (AND THANK GOD-- I hope he burned that godawful sweater), and she... hasn't. She's nice and thoughtful and can cook magically delicious omelettes and doesn't poop. She was all that back then. Phoenix? He was stupid, impulsive, careless, and susceptible to colds. Now, he retains these characteristics, but he's become a lot stronger and has really seen more and become a bit wiser. He's GROWN UP. Iris has not. And that is why it wouldn't work. And as for the credits being proof, she's pretty. Why wouldn't he be looking at her? And the camera doesn't turn anywhere else! *shot*

Another pairing I hate(actually, it's not really hating, wait, no, it is):
/ First and foremost, I hate Iris. Second, the relationship was very much implied as over, and I don't think Phoenix would want to keep dating someone who actually impersonated another person he thought he loved. Iris may still love Phoenix, but I see too much bitterness between the both of them(especially with Phoenix) for any leftover feelings to continue. True, he still believed in her, but that's all it ever was, in my opinion. He believed in her as a defendant, no more, no less.

But really, it's because it's of no use arguing about it with people. If someone dislikes a certain pairing for whatever reason, it's going to be really difficult to convince someone otherwise. No matter what evidence you might have. I respect that people like and dislike certain pairings, and I just ask the same respect. That's all.

/ Maya is the kid sister of Phoenix's mentor. She acts like a kid too... That relationship just seems kind of annoying. I could see them as a kind of brother and sisterish relationship. Or maybe see Phoenix as a father figure, since Maya never really had one.
