"....." She didn't bother to respond. Her expression remained emotionless, her body still standing, her hands still in her pockets. All she did was watch and listen. She could come up with 1,000 witty retorts to everything he was saying and doing, but why give him that satisfaction? She didn't even let the current tide of events bother her at the least. Best not to think positively or negatively at this point anyway.

She wasn't through yet. She met poor fools who could heal themselves like that just as good. It was just a matter of turning that healing against them that proved to be their undoing. She'd just have to look for a way to do the same against Orochi while at the same time outwitting him in spirit and mind.

Or try to for as long as she could hold out.

Hubris who had been so entwined by the action suddenly snapped out of his trance by Sakuya's last words.
"Ultimate counter..." He muttered, trying to stifle a snicker before breaking out into a full on laugh. "GIRL, GET HIM!" This time he was cheering with the rest of the crowd. He wanted to see if that was true or just her bluff 1-on-1 now.

Not that Orochi wouldn't be fun either, what with the level and variety of his magic and tricks... but to best him, Hubris knew he would have to forgo any holding back, and aim to kill to get this guy down for the count.

Once he felt the full effects of his healing, Orochi allowed some time to get his energy back up. Seemingly disappearing in an instant, he thrust his fingers into her vital points surrounding her spine, neck, and two in the head. Once his fingers left her body, there'd be blood dripping from them. It dripped on the floor when he came back into view in front of Sayuka. It wouldn't be until about two seconds after he came back into view that the full bleeding effect would ensue. However, if she tried to attack, it'd cost her enough. If she caused even the slightest movement, there'd be circulation. Once there's circulation, her organs would pay the same price as his almost did except at least twice worse. But there was the chance she could block it... only to lose control of the limbs that did block. Regardless of what she did, she would still be hit by SOMETHING.

That's a devastating attack... She thought, feeling the impacts, and the warm blood running from them. She only managed to block most of the attack, but her foe did get a few blows in, and they would still be enough to hamper her ability, and her limbs would feel the ache from blocking them... She restricted her movements after the attack finished, and kept herself from moving too much as she got herself into a comfortable position... ...he's pulling out his deadlier techniques... if i move too much, then I'm going to be even more gravely injured than I am now.
Should make for an interesting challenge. Let's see what I can do under these circumstances...

Sayuka then disappeared as well, and thrusted energy blades with her legs into Orochi, a rapid attack into various areas of his body... she then turned... all at once, a number of places in Orochi's body would start spurting blood, small geysers decorating the back of Sayuka's body in droplets. Even if he could block the attacks, they would be enough to numb his own limbs for a bit, much like his previous attack. Course, Orochi would end up covered in droplets of Sayuka's own blood as well after her own attack ended, and she soon felt immense pain.

Whoops. Not careful enough on my behalf, I guess, she thought, feeling her vision blur for a moment before regaining her composure, He may have healed wounds, but I doubt he can heal blood loss. If he can, good for him. But he's not getting a medal for it.

Licking off the blood from his lips, he noticed it took her some time to regain composure. Looks like he'd be able to do some more damage to her skull than he thought. Before her vision could fully comprehend his location, he made a rather quick dash to be up in her face, then slammed both fists onto her ear, creating an immense amount of pressure to delude and damage her senses along with cause some more longer lasting damage to her nervous system. Of course, he'd heal her after the battle, but still. She had to be defeated first. Seeing that his attack caused her dizziness to increase, he jumped back and just stood there... smoking.

"!!!" Sayuka let out a cry of pain from the impact. Due to her recovering, she had lost sense of Orochi, and that cost her big time... Her eardrums were ruptured, and as a result, began bleeding from both ends. Oh, she could still hear from both... but with the blood filling up her ears, it would make it harder to hear him... she fell back and held her head, grunting in pain. The rest of her nervous system ached as well, but it was her head that hurt the most.

Shit... she thought, I'm going to have a nasty headache when this is over. If I'm not having one already. Am I having one already? I dunno... She was in such pain all over that she couldn't make heads or tails of her current condition other than she was weakening bad and didn't have much to go on like she thought. She overestimated herself a bit. She kicked herself mentally for that.

Recovering the best she could, she sat up and fought off her pain as she forced herself to her feet, limping somewhat. ...maybe I should get it over with. My final attack. If I can't defeat him... I should at least try and let him know that I'm going out with an impact.
I have to admit, though... this guy was fun. I wonder if he's seeing anyone... She smiled to herself for a moment in amusement before letting it fade and then looking up at him with her only visible eye. The other was pretty much covered by the hair that fell over on that side.

Taking a drag and blowing a lot of smoke the other way, he smiled. A chop came down with heavy pressure to her collar. It would send her downwards face first, into the floor.
Orochi then walked up to her and hoisted her battered body upon his shoulder.
(corrected. muwahaha)

"Wh-what!?" She wasn't exactly unconscious yet, but became surprised when he grabbed her and lifted her off the ground, carrying her away, "What... why are you doing this?
...maybe you realized I'm too weak to fight back... or something, I dunno. I can't claim to understand you but...

...thanks..." She then said, with a faint chuckle, "...well...yeah, I guess I am too weak to fight back.
...you win. Bravo, man, bravo... when this is over, I'll train hard so that when we meet again, I'll win."

...with that, Sayuka fell unconscious with her last words with a soft sigh. She did look beautiful when she slept, ne?

"Hmph... well, that's over with..." Komugi then said to herself, "Well... guess we should get to the second fight. Okay... are we ready, everyone~? Rahfka! Lydia! It's time for you two to fight. Please head into the arena."

"Heh. You did well, Sayuka. You did well." He patted her hair and walked off the arena with a single finger pointing toward the sky. When he made it to the medical center in the arena's building, he set her down on the stretcher and cast a healing seal on her body. It would gradually heal her internal organs and whatever was damaged from his attacks.
"It'll be a while. But you'll be as good as new." Opening the window, he blew out some more smoke and looked outside.

Lydia's breathing seemed to disappear as it was her turn to step into the arena. She turned to Kory.

"T-t-thank you, Kory..." She tried her best, but she just couldn't manage a smile. Lydia turned and did her best to avoid eye contact with Rahfka.

As she walked to the arena, she suddenly tripped and hit the ground hard.

The crowd suddenly erupted in laughter, and the sense of the moment seemed to dawn on her...why the hell did she do this? Sign up for a fighting tournament, of all things? It was clear to everyone that she was weak and frail. She could almost hear them whispering about her...

Rygar nodded, and went with Shrum to the stands to watch the fight. He got there in time to see Lydia trip and fall. While everyone in the audience began to doubt Lydia as a fighter... Rygar didn't quite agree with them.

"...that girl..." he said aloud, "...there's something not quite normal about her..."

Kory had no clue what Shrum was talking about, but he seemed to relax a little as Shrum helped her up. Now why didn't I do that? he thought. He still kept his encouraging smile.

"I...I can't..." She mumbled weakly to Shrum. She began to shake her head...she wanted out. She didn't want any of this. She couldn't take the taunts, the jeering, the laughter...

And then, she stopped.

Kory was giving her an encouraging smile from the sidelines. It was strange...but it was like a motivation for Lydia...almost as if it gave her strength. She manage to rise to her feet and nodded at Shrum.

Then, she continued up to the arena and stood there, waiting for the fight to begin.

(OOC: Just to let you all know, I'm gonna change how she fights. It'll be similar to a character from King of Fighters. :p So yeah, I'll reveal that later on.)

Kory had the urge to get up and cheer as Lydia got up into the arena. He guessed he should save it for the end. The last thing he wanted was to distract her and have Lydia wind up getting hurt. So, he held it in and excitedly watched, waiting for the match to begin.

Rahfka walked into the arena, and looked at Lydia. "Hopefully she is just playing "weak" on me. I hope she is as good as I really think she is." Rahfka is not one to doubt people. As he went in, he went up to Lydia and asked, "Shall we fight, then?"

Minny had gotten extremely hungry and need to get some food. She had been away getting food when Lydia tripped before the match. When she walked back into the room she saw it was Lydia's turn to fight. With an arm full of pretzels she ran back to the place she had been standing before. She was about to yell out some encouragement, telling Lydia she was rooting for her, but she thought that might be such a good idea. She could throw Lydia off guard. Also she heard to dying laughter of the audience as if something funny happened. Oh geez... I hope Lydia's ok....

Minny then took a seat and started to munch on some pretzels. She wondered what this battle was going to look like

((Haha.. sorry for being gone so long, not missing my battle though (: ))

Lydia nodded, and then let her eyelids drop, covering her vision.

What happened next was very wtf indeed.

Her teddy bear, Mr Cuddles, hugged her, and somehow...seemed to melt into her. Her eyes were still shut, but her hair became a light blue...almost icey colour.

Lydia opened her eyes. Her kind, bottle green eyes had vanished. They had been replaced with a merciless cold blue.

She raised her hand up to her face, and blew a small breath from her mouth. The breath became a flurry of ice, and headed straight to Rahfka.

Rahfka saw the ice shards, and easily dodged to the right. "Ah, there we go. I knew you weren't weak," Rahfka said to Lydia. Rahfka then tried something different. He summoned an African Moon at Lydia, but then, he ran with the African Moon in order to counter Lydia when she dodges. He had to make sure he knew which way she was going to go, first. But he had to watch out for misleading movement.

Kory watched as Lydia transformed right in front of her eyes, and he shivered slightly. That woman was not his Lydia. They were...More merciless. He could picture what she became being a killer, but not the Lydia she once was. Rahfka would have to be careful around her.

"..." While Sayuka lay there, Orochi put out the cigarette and went to watch the next match. And what do you know... someone here uses Ice. Not that uncommon, but this girl had skill. Sitting down watching intently, he looked at each fighter. Inspecting the styles of each character in question, Orochi watched carefully. Whoever of these two (if at all) he had to face, he'd have to memorize their weaknesses.

Reiji Oyama and Liu Yungmie hung around as well, and joined the other fighters in the stands...

"Interesting... a transformation," Rygar remarked, "...ice powers too. That's dangerous..."

"Wait, I remember hearing about a warrior who had a similar feature..." Reiji then said, "...yeah, wasn't there a girl in the King of Fighters tournaments that also used ice power to a degree? Something Diamond..." Reiji couldn't recall the full name of the girl at the present moment.

"Kula Diamond," Yungmie corrected.

"Yeah, that's it, Kula Diamond... they say that her powers were very dangerous..."

(OOC: Well, I've tend to really play as female characters. XD I do have a fondness for Kula and Mai though. I've only played 2000 and 2001 round a friend's on his PS2.)

Lydia suddenly let out a very strange giggle. It was much more girly then her usual one. Then, she moved right to avoid Rahfka's attack. Her body seemed...like an illusion, almost. As she moved, it was like a faint copy of her was following Lydia, then disappeared.

(I take it everyone knows what I mean? Cause I don't think I gave a good description...^_^;)

(I don't, since I've never downloaded a singal Kula mugen character except Kula & Zato-1. And I never played any games she's in.)

Rahfka saw her going to the right, so he tried to surprise her a roundhouse kick, followed by African fury to the chest. ...but something seemed wierd about Lydia to Rahfka. She was hard to read.

(OOC: Okay, you know when someone's really fast, they leave a faint image of themselves that vanishes about a second later? Rather like a blur, that's what Lydia just did. Though it's more of a trick then speed.)

Lydia noticed Rahfka's movements quickly, and managed to jump back as he tried to roundhouse kick her. Then, when he tried to strike her at her chest, Lydia flipped her legs up into the air and balanced her body on her hands, performing a 360 as she managed to avoid that too.

"Aaaaaw~ Did wittle Rahfka miiiiiiiss?" She giggled once more. Her voice was more confident and girly, as her giggle seemed to be. She was certainly mocking him, that was for sure. Then, she raised her hand to the air. Spikes of ice suddenly fell down from the sky diagonally to strike Rahfka.

That's not...That's not my Lydia! Kory thought as he watched the match. She would never mock anyone. And she doesn't giggle like that! He looked at the new Lydia again, hoping to see the Lydia he knew somewhere in her.

((Dahlia, that sounded like Athena's annoying teleport. xDD Lol. I've played every KoF to date. I even have the Orochi Saga on the PSP. Oh, and a tad of advice if we ever play each other: Know when NOT to go aggro. That's vital especially if I'm watching your Kula.))

"My foot that's about to pound your face in." Kicking Shurm across the arena with a hefty left, he started to eat again. That dumbass. Who does he think he is, taking someone else's food without asking? And boy? I'm older than that KID is. If anything, he was going to finish it singlehandedly. Fights build up appetites. And he had to consume what he had. Plus the nachos were really good... and he also consumed enough food to render someone full for at least a few hours.
