Maya's absence is a plot hole, since she said (during the ending credits of T&T) that she was going to be Nick's assistant and the Kurain master at the same time. Sounds like lots of work, but that's what she said. The DVD thing at the hospital hints that she's out there, somewhere. Or maybe she could be Nick's assistant off-screen.
