Well, the first question is if you can sew? If you can, you're in great shape because there are a lot of patterns that look like Maya Costume parts.

As for the wig, you're probably best off buying one unless you feel like styling your hair.

And you're lucky you already got the Magatama, that normally trips most people up. ^^

There are some great costume kimono patterns that can easily be turned into a Kurain channeler costume. If you sew, let me know and I'll find my pattern numbers that I used.

The shoes are really easy. Just get a pair of black flip flops and paint the straps purple. Easy and comfortable!

I'm in the process of making my Maya Fey costume as well. I was in luck and found (like everyone else has said) a kimono pattern that was just perfect for her dress and bow. It shouldn't be too hard to find a small, short jacket pattern either.
I think the only problems you will have will be all of the hair beads and Maya's necklace. I'm still a little stuck on those myself. lol

Now.. if you can't sew.. you might have a problem. xD; I would suggest thrift stores; they are your best friend. xD Off the top of my head I could see someone using the top of a karate uniform as her dress possibly.

Thrift stores are a cosplayers BFFL, I have to say. If you cant sew the kimono pattern or such, then I would suggest browing to find a purple robe/jacket that looks/feels about the same as hers. Then you can alter it, and same goes for the robe underneath! XD Her sandals you can probably find pretty easy, and as for her bracelets I'm sure if you just get some plain black elasticy/twine-y/things you can tie 'em together to fit it.
The big pearls on her necklace you can probably just find some of those styrafoam [gahhH! I cant spell, sorry! =_=;] balls and use those.

Her ribbon you could get some cloth around the same color and cut and tie to be hers.

I am thinking of cosplaying as Maya...one day! Gotta get some self-esteem first. XDD

Good luck! :maya:

A friend of mine cosplayed Maya last year and had me, the resident sewing geek, make her costume.
Of course, my lazy/broke/etc self didn't feel like finding a pattern, but Maya's outfit's really quite easy to make without one.
The biggest trouble we had were her bracelets...we just tied ribbons around her wrists, but they didn't stay in place.
If you can break the outfit down into basic shapes, you're pretty much set.

I found a pretty good pattern for the jacket-thing she wearsThat was super easy. I think it was a scrub pattern. I used a nicely textured fabic to give it a little more oomph, but whatever works ;D

I ended up modifying my old gi from karate. I know, I'm a horrible person, but with a short white skirt underneath it was just too perfect :maya: The sandals are easy enough to find. I think I got mine at Target or something.

Anyways, good luck! That's all the advice I can really provide :D!
