カプコンは、法廷闘争を描いたゲーム「逆転裁判」（ＤＳ用など）の舞台化を宝塚歌劇団に提案。２１年２月からの上演が決まった。パート４まであり、国内外で３００万本以上を売る人気シリーズ。女性を意識した内容ではないが、担当者は「ファンを広げるには女性がかぎ。ファッション誌で取り上げてもらうなどの努力を心がけている」という。

The stage was decided to undergo presentation from February, 2009. There is this game to Part 4, and it is the popular series to sell more than 3,000,000 at home and abroad. However, this game is not for women. The person in charge says. "Women grasp a key to increase fans. I keep an effort to have you take it up with a fashion magazine in mind. "

I really like the idea of game makers paying more attention to female games, but if their idea of doing that is by putting more ads in fashion magazines...they have a long way to go.

That's true. Plus I think alot of people on the forums either don't claim what gender they are or are lying about it (which has always baffled me.)

So, are these 'new' fans then not supposed to play the games? Are they supposed to just attend the music concerts and buy merchandise there or something? Does 'to part 4' include part 4? Are they supposed to be interested in game 5?

I suppose it's not 'specifically' for women or something. The main target audience probably still is males, but it seems more neutral than most other games (love/friendship/relationship based subplots, strong characterisation, strong female mentor, that whole matriarchical Kurain subplot).

The article is using the Gyakuten Saiban series (of which there are currently four) as an example of a game that was not originally marketed towards women, but is starting to go in that direction now by targeting women-oriented magazines and the Takarazuka. It's not insinuating anything about 5.

Probably, I was taking the translation words literally when the original probably isn't literally the same...
So I guess they think after they see the musical they decided to play the games, having got interested by the huge advertisement of the 'opera'.
..speaking of, has it happened yet? Is there a more detailed plot synopsis around than the one on here before? It sounded so weird, I'd love to know the story in more detail (and when it's 'supposed' to be set in the timeline).
