I've found that Europeans pronouce the second part of my first name as either to 'Lheen', 'Liin' (high pitched) or 'Ley-een'.
The Viet prounouce it 'Me-i Lin(g)'. They do it with a swing. (I have no idea where they pull that g out of!
)My biggest pet peeve is when people pronounce the first bit as it is written. I IS NOT MAI KTHNX

Well, I'm very vocal if only online.My sister's, which is very similar, translates to "beatiful sea". Which sometimes confuses my Viet relations, as the sea is usually more masculine.
