Since as of right now there aren't any courtroom scenes, I think the use of OBJECTION! would be severely curtailed. What do you think would be the replacement catchphrase?

For some reason, I think Objection will stick. Just because it's related to Ace Attorney.

There is a confrontation/interogation phase that replaces the court phase. I'm sure you will use objection when a suspect or witness lies to you.

But Apollo got some catchphrase added too: "GOTCHA"
Maybe Edgeworth will get something like that added too, when he's in the logic-fase.

Beside that, I think he'll get his daily portion "OBJECTION" for sure xD

I think he does have something like that in the Logic phase from what I remember reading. I can't remember what the word is, but its something new that neither Phoenix nor Apollo have.

I am not good with Japanese... But wasn't it "Sore da!" which indeed means, "That's it!"?

I think it was. But I can't be 100 percent sure without finding the thread the information is in.

You're very close. :) What he actually says is "Kore da!" which means "This!/This is it!"

I'm pretty sure he might use objection, though. Well, he should...

Thanks, Detective Bloom.

He should use objection. I'm sure its the reason many of us fell head over heals for him.

Lol @ "Kore Da!" being "This!". Drammy's got a new catchphrase.

Nah, I think I saw some objections on both trailers. I'll check... tomorrow (I stole this from someone)

It is indeed "Kore da!" ^_^ But, there were also some "Igiari!"'s in there as well, so I'm sure that we'll hear his lovely "Objection" once more. ^_^ I wonder if there'll be any more phrases, though. I hope so. :edgy:

That would be nice, but I don't think they want to make it overkill with too many new phrases. At least he doesn't say "Gotcha." (Wishes they would have just left the literal translation of Right There because that would have be sufficient and followed the pattern of the other words, thus leaving Objection the unique singular one).

I think "Kore Da!" will display when you try to match two Logic "pieces". Like "Take That!" when presenting evidence, or "Gotcha!" when percieving.

Maybe whenever he says "Ergo" (As he did at least 10 times in AA), it will act in the same manner as :gotcha: and :objection: and :holdit: and such.

I think that would sound a little ridiculous because "Ergo" just means "Therefore" in Latin. It would be an incomplete thought really, and Edgeworth is too good for that.

"POPPYCOCK!"

had to suggest it, sorry

Wow, it never even occurred to me that we may be unlikely to hear an Objection! in this game. That's ... kind of heartwrenching.
But like people before me said: hello, it's Ace Attorney! so there must be SOME mention of an Objection! at some point, yes?
Kay, you might want to tone the ruffling down a bit.

If you watch the GK trailer, there is a couple of Igiaris (Objections) in there. So, I don't think they're going to forgo it. ^_^;;

I wasn't paying much attention to the sound while watching the trailers, only the lovely artwork. Sorry~

Haha, no problem. XD

Now that I've been learning Japanese formally, I tend to listen and read pretty intently whenever I'm watching/reading something in Japanese. Particularly if it has anything to do with Edgeworth. XD

You can Press statements and Present evidence during the Confrontation mode. It's like the Cross Examination during court. But this is confronting someone outside of court.

"Objection"/"Igiari" is still in there. Everything's the same, "kore da" is used when pointing out a contradiction in a crime scene.
Hi! I've largely stepped back from C-R due to life stuff. Please contact one of the other staff members for help!
