how do i solve this and get my avatar?
i have one i like.
i found it online and have it on my pc.
but i can only submit an url
how do get my avatar up because i don't want one fromthe galeries from here. i want one i chose, feels more me.

Here is how you upload an image:
1. Go to a site like http://www.tinypic.com
2. Click "browse", locate the image on your PC, then click on it so that the path to the file is then shown in the "file" part.
3. Ignore the other options and press the big, green "Upload now!" button
4. It will then upload the image and give you a bunch of URLs. For your avatar, use the URL that says "direct link for layouts" and put that in the required avatar URL field in your control panel.
For future reference, the URL with the IMG brackets around it is useful when you want to put an image in your signature. The IMG tags makes an image show up in BBCode (what forums use, instead of HTML code).

that's lame. according tho this site you can use their images for forums. they even provide a url.
so why won't that work?
why go trough the proces of using an acount i will never use just for this?
and how do you subscribe to a topic(you get an email notification when there is a reply at the topic) its very usefull for people who forget to check the forums a lot. peopl like me.

It only takes 3-5 seconds to upload an image on http://www.tinypic.com, so it's not too big of a deal. That site only offers a sig/avatar code that links back to their main site, not a specific image URL, which is very misleading =/

And yes, you can use images you upload at tinypic.com here. That's why I gave you directions.
Read my directions above to upload something.
Please stop asking the same question over and over (the subscription question) - once someone knows the answer, they will answer you. They can read your previous posts. Your posts are becoming similar to spam by you continuously repeating the same question and copy/pasting it over and over.
