It's actually pretty darn good, and has some of the best use of 3D to draw you in I've seen lately. Very few "Hey, let's stick something in the audience's face because we can!" gags.

I went to watch it with some friends last weekend and I loved it. I had already seen Coraline in the same kind of 3D, so I knew what was coming, but it was the first "not-red-and-green" 3D experience for my friends, so they were freaking out during that paddleball scene at the beginning of the movie (am I the only one who thought of the Fairly Odd Parents episode with the guy on the screen saying, "USE MY PAAAAADDLEBALL!") Overall, I thought it was a pretty good movie and I was very amused by the jokes they had. :phoenix:

I saw MvA in 2-D and thought it was OK.

Does 3-D make the movie any better?

I totally enjoyed this. I usually don't go in for CGI family films unless they're shown on TV and I'm not forced to empty my wallet into the Disney/Dreamworks coffers, but this was really good.

I guess I can't compare it much to Dreamworks' recent output since the last thing I saw was Shrek 2, but it certainly entertained me. The support cast was great, and even my disliking of Greasy Reese Witherspoon was briefly overcome as she did a reasonably good job in the main.

Loved the references to old sci-fi/b-movies as well (The Fly, The Blob, even the odd Star Wars/Star Trek one here and there); really gave the more adult audience something to relate to as well ^^

I absolutely loved it. I saw it in 3-D with my little brother going "Woah" everytime something came for us. It had a great use of 3-D effects and I'm glad that finally a female lead was used instead of a male lead.

I expected this is to be stupid and forgettable like almost all the movies I've seen lately but I actually liked this one.

I'll tell you all the truth right now. I hated the beginning, but I loved the middle and the end.
