Thanks, but I'll probably enter next year, you know, to do a nice sprite.:garyuu:

If you entered a character in the contest last year, you cannot enter that same character again, even if it's in a different category.

I guess it's time for my main character to recieve a makeover... and a name change. :payne:
I don't want all those years (lterally) of work going down the drain because I was a retard last year and hurridly submitted a piece of crap fanart. This may be sneaky... but I'm gonna have to change up my main character a bit... is this allowed, under my... special circumstances?

Your circumstances aren't exactly special. Lots of people submitted entries last year that can't submit that entry again.

If you aren't able to make very noticable changes you will be disqualified. You probably shouldn't have said anything >.>

Just asking, do we need to open a CR thread to join this competition? If so, where?

um...I guess I am joining this competition under the 'fanart' category, so do I open a thread in the fanart part of the forum?

Not anymore. The rules are that if you submit a character in any category, you can never submit the same character again. Since I submited a (horribly done) Gordon Truth fanart last year, I can't submit him again, even in a different category.

And, haha, your right Croik, I... probably shouldn't have said anything... :payne:

Oh well, as long as you're not taking a similar personality and backstory into account... say hello to Justin Skanner; Ace Attorney!

Ironlunch I think it's in your best interests if you stop talking now >.>;;

theufw, you don't have to have a thread on the forum, I only added it to the application this year so that once the contest is over and all the creators revealed, people that like your work can come find you to give comments and feedback.

We are eligible to enter the contest regardless we have become a member of this forum or not, or is it restricted to Court Records forum members only?

Just as a quick question, about what amount of 'language' is right for this contest?

I'm mainly asking because it seems to vary from place to place what exactly fits under 'PG-13' since some people say no swears at all while others seem to be okay with anything but f-bombs. I mean, I'm not dropping them all over the place in my fic but it'd be a nice reference.

The only words you ought to avoid begin with F and C, along with any racial slurs (naturally). But if a fuck slips in I certainly won't disqualify you (since the forum allows it).

Whatever you put on there is what will be made public after the end of the vote, so better to put your username. I won't need your real name unless you win.

Well, unfortunately, I missed the window for becoming a judge, but as last year's fanfic winner, I wish all the whippersnappers going after the fanfic category luck. No, I will not give you tips on how to write a winning submission.

I'm sorry if this question has been answered before, but I haven't got any confirm email after submitting my work,do I have to submit it again or just wait patiently? The first and second time I tried to submit the email failed because of some errors so I'm worrying about this...

Sorry if I'm asking this question a bit too eariler(since I haven't submitted the work until just a few days ago),I just want to make sure that I won't miss the deadline like what happen last year. :sadshoe:

Yes, send in the latest entry specifying that you want to replace your old one with it.

If you want confirmation that your entry has been received PM Croik. Given that she's on more frequently, due to the release of GK, you should get your answer fairly quickly.

I'm asking this just to make sure, so... Midnight June 1st, does that mean June 1st 11.59PM EST, or before June 1st 0.00AM EST?

This basically decides how badly I am going to have to work my ass off LOL P:

It means the end of the day Monday, EST.

Because I was away over the weekend and came back right into GK updates I haven't sent out all the confirmation emails yet, but you should get them tonight or tomorrow. If you haven't heard from me by Monday THEN please PM me.

Hmm, this came at quite the right time. This will allow me to work on a prequal story to the PWlib game I'm writing. I have no artisitic talent or do I know sprites so writing it is.

Looks like I have one say to get this done. Time to get to work, wish I noticed this sooner. :hotti:

I just realized that on the added sprites, I forgot to mention the sprites used to make those poses.

I used some Bratworth for the Objection pose and some Manfred von Karma for the deskslam pose.

Well, because finals kicked my butt this month, I wasn't able to finish all I wanted to do for the contest. XD So I decided it'd probably be a smarter idea to hold off until next year than to submit something rushed and be unable to submit a better entry for the next contest, amirite?

Good luck to all entries this year!!! I'm looking forward to seeing what's going to be put on the table this time around!

Also, I hope the prize(s) for next year will be as snazzy as this year's. X)
