completely new to fangames

so i downloaded the Damion Shard - Ace Attorney demo but erm uhh how do i play? sorry for my lack of understanding the readme

well i was going to but then i downloaded others and didn't understand how to play those either, so it's more of a general question than a game specific one

Oh, I see. Well, for Damian Shard there are two version, basically. One with PWlib and one without PWlib.
PWlib is the software that is used to create Damian Shard. You need it to play it. The version with PWlib works "out of the box". I assume that you took the version without PWlib. You need to download PWlib separately and extract Damian Shard in there.

So:
- Download PWlib from the official website. You need both the Core and the Graphics pack.
Core: http://www.ksatechnologyhq.com:1357/pwl ... .1core.rar
Graphics Pack: http://www.ksatechnologyhq.com:1357/pwl ... gfx2.0.rar
- Extract both into the same folder. And now you have PWlib!
- Download Damian Shard (without PWlib): http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/1/26/ ... o%20U3.zip
- Extract Damian Shard within the same folder you extracted PWlib
- Everything should be in place and you can start playing. Run AIGE.exe and the game should work.

This works the same for many games. Some games come with the required software (the used casemaker) and some come without it.

thanks, my only wish is that i could maximize it or make it bigger, what about winston payne pathetic prosecutor, what do i need for that one?

Disappointed? Have you no taste?
Winston Payne: Pathetic Prosecutor is only the greatest game EVER! ET comes a close second, though.

On a more serious note, if you want to play PW fangames, you have a choice between:
- Damion Shard (PWLIB)
- Turnabout Substitution (PyWright)
- Trials of Life (PWLIB)
- Prince of Lawyers (I don't know if you can still download it...)
- Phoenix Wright: Hidden Traces (if you speak german)
all of which have threads on this forum.
There are some pretty good Ace Attorney Online cases as well.

But just remember that
- Damion Shard only has 1 case (although a very good one :3)
- Turnabout Substitution only has an investigation phase; no court phase (FASTAR, PING"! FASTAR!)
- Trials of Life only has 1 case (haven't played it)
- No idea about Prince of Lawyers
- Hidden Traces is in German... (as Ping' just said)
