Anyway, I'm glad you're all interested in meeting up. And those of you who can't cosplay PW are more than welcome to join anyway! Cosplayers and fans alike, right?
As for a tour of Boston, I'm not sure if that would be the best idea, at least to me (then again I only live 40-ish minutes from there and I've been to college in that area). I'm pretty sure everyone will be busy with the convention enough as it is. Nice thought, though!
As far as an actual meeting, everyone's schedules do seem scattered. With this in mind, perhaps the planning of a date and time to meet wouldn't be so good after all. Instead, why don't we just uh... yeah, spot each other when we see each other and probably hang around then. It'd be cool if we got a whole PW mob rummaging through the halls and randomly yelling "OBJECTION". xD
My AB badge this year will have the same name its had for the past few years... "wer". My initials.
Unfortunately there's a heavy chance that my Edgeworth won't be Edgeworth this year. She hasn't even started working on her costume yet. >[ As for my Phoenix, all I need left are the shoes and a white shirt. And I need to figure out the hair... I was going to use my own, but it's a pain to be straightened and well... depending on if I follow through with my alternate costume (Johan Liebert from Monster, who's a blondie), I might have to get a wig for Phoenix instead.
Which... I have no clue how to get the right kind of wig and style it to make it look like that... I know nothing about wig styling. x.x

What is Monster, you say? I'd hate to stray from a PW-related topic, but Monster is one of, if not my #1, favorite anime of all time. There's no magic, no crazy hair. It takes place in late 20th century Germany and revolves around a Japanese doctor who saves a boy... who ends up being a sociopath and master murderer. SO the doctor dedicates his life to putting an end to the grown-up killer... There's incredible character development and sub-plots, deep storylines, bone-chilling moments...
I could go on and on. xD
I would categorize it as a realistic psychological thriller. It's not made specifically for either gender, either: I love it and I'm a yaoi fangirl. My friend loves it and he's a beer-chugging straight guy. So yeah.
There are 75 episodes total, which can be found on Youtube and/or Veoh.
/end obsessive rant (sorry guys!)
EDIT: WHOOPS forgot to mention that the Monster manga, which the anime follows word-by-word, is actually being sold in bookstores in America. So if you don't feel like watching 75 episodes of an anime, take a look at your local Borders or Barnes & Noble or w/e. Okay -now- I'm done.

It is hard. I was initially planning on using my own hair, sleeking it back with hairgel and spiking it and such and such, but now I'm not so sure, again, because of my alternate cosplay idea. Either way it's going to be a doozy of a time to try to get accurate. As for the suit, I bought one on eBay and had the sleeves and pants tailored a bit to fit me better. I was so lucky to find one that was the perfect color!

Well I just happen to choose one of or the "easiest cosplays ever" [according to my sister] .
His hair is in a hat, so I just shove it all up in thar and then leave some out in the back, so I dont need a wig. He only has a sweater and black pants and sandals. SALVATION ARMY BBY~ Srsly, they are amazing. I even found the perfect prop in there to go with it! The hat I asked my friend to make [and she agreed to make for $20] so I had that covered...
I attempted to do
, but I still am only about 70-80% done with it. I still have to buy a wig, paint the shoes, sew the heart, and make the necklace. So...I picked some easy stuff.
I do wanna try A LOT more though. I'm saving Apollo for when I get my braces off. I wanna try Ema and Trucy [maybe when I get in shape a lil' more, hmm~?

I think we've decided that since everyone's pretty much scattered when it comes to their schedules, that we'll just glomp each other in the halls at random if we happen to come across each other.
UNLESS YOU GUYS REALLY WANT TO PLAN A TIME TO MEET. I'm all for it. I honestly just suck at these things.
I'll be there each day of the con. Only times I'll be busy will be during the ball, the ball dancing practice and the masquerade (I won't be in it, but attending). And possibly if I decide to join a Brawl tournament. Otherwise I'm all about wandering around and whatever.

I thought of cosplaying as Hobo!Phoenix, but it's a bit too late to get stuff together. I'll just stick with non phoenix wright Akabane and Kyouya.

Ahhh, well, thats ok. My friend who wanted to cosplay as Apollo won't have time to make his either. [I think we'll dress him up as a kitty] Theres always next year!!
Did you guys see/hear about that new Easypass they are doing this year? It has a bar code on it and you run it through a terminal and it automatically prints your badge. Its supposed to save time [glad they realize what happend last year. LINE CON '08 D<]
LESS THAN TWO WEEKS~ 9 days I think? I'm so excited! I gotta make sure my cosplays in check. Thanks to my school they are packing on the homework so I am stressin' out. D:

Well... at a hotel that's a 10-min train ride to the con. BUT I AM PRE-REG'D AND EVERYTHING.
I'm so excited. And it is confirmed: I will be with a Sumomo and Luxord. I shall be mini-Phoenix (5'5'' xD). I'll be attending all the main events (Opening ceremony, Black Orchid Ball, Masquerade, Cosplay Chess etc). I WANTED to go to the Cosplay Courtroom panel (it would be so perfect as Phoenix ;-;) but my friends want to go to something else. I'm going to be dragged around like a lawyerpet.

You wouldn't believe how many objections I've gotten from random people just this one day. I seen a Diego and another male (gasp!) Phoenix, and a very sweet Maya.

ANYWAY.
I didn't go. Not cause I didn't want too, but a disturbing lack of money. Plus the repairs on my laptop was $75.
BUT. I will be going to AAC all 3 days.

It's definitely not my first time visiting Court Records (I'm a pretty big fan of Phoenix Wright), but I switched my decision on the fly to dress up as Nick today (Saturday/May 23). I had plenty of random "objections" thrown my way too- And I'm pretty sure I met you (the OTHER Phoenix), since I definitely remember the pink-haired girl with the gigantic pencil.
I thought I was going to go normally dressed on Sunday, but I think I'll end up going in costume again... hopefully the hair doesn't give me too difficult a time! Anyway, my suit's a bit darker than how Phoenix's suit usually is, but since I finally found a good attorney badge as a prop, it shouldn't be TOO hard to spot me =D.
If you're there, I'll be sure to see you; feel free to stop and say hello-

There was a meetup?! And I wasn't there?! For shame. I was feeling incredibly sick Saturday morning so I just walked around as my normal self till about noonish. Then I cosplayed the rest of the day.
WHEN I WAS AS MYSELF I saw... two Mayas, a Trucy and an Apollo... and a Godot walk by. OH AND A HOBOHODO. But. I'm an incredibly shy person so I didn't attempt stalking them. Worst timing ever. I also saw an Edgeworth while waiting in line for... I think it was for hentai dubbing, but before I could get up and run over he was gone. I've been looking for an Edgeworth all con too :<

Were you the Phoenix I found in front of the Dealer's room and we talked for a bit? Your hair was freaking perfect. EVERYONE remembers the girl with the giant pencil... mainly the pencil. xD
I'm heading home tomorrow, so no more me-Phoenix. I had fun though.

Like the last 3 years, I don't actually go into the covention center. I can be found inside the Pudentuial Center and Copley Plays(the huge Mall Complex everyone wanders around aimlessly, lol).
I will be at the PRU from 11:30AM to 5:30PM. Circumstamces beyond my control prevented me from having my planned Diego costume ready (my damned hair didn't grow as fast as I needed it to--I didn't want to use a wig). If anyone wants to look for me, I will have a pair of COURT RECORDS signs. If I'm not moble, search the Boylston Street Arcade (the walkway between that Candy Store and Lord & Tailor), at a table close to the Pizzaria Regina facing the patio OR in the Garden (I think you know what I'm talking about if you've been there).
AGAIN: I will have TWO COURT RECORDS signs. I will also have my Two DS Lites, my BLUE DSi and all of my DS games (yes, all 40 of 'em). If you brings yours and we can get a stable Wi-Fi connection, we can exchange Friend Codes =D
Finally, I will be taking a crapload of pictures with my DSi. If you want to get in on the action, you know how to find me =D

Anyway, it's been fun. Post any pictures you've taken! I'm pretty sure I'll be returning next year (since I definitely have 99% of what I need to be Phoenix now). I didn't take any pictures, so feel free to post any you've taken!
Hopefully next time around I'll have refined my costume, haha.
I live right now in an apartment next to Ruggles (so I'm always in close proximity to he Prudential/Hynes Convention Center), so feel free to let me know if you're around.

Anywho, I think I could use the time to properly plan a meetup for next year. This includes making a list of peeps from CR, who might be be cosplaying, etc.
I'll make a thread about Anime Boston 2010 in December and make a Facebook group in Jan. 2010.
