Gahahahaaa, me too. I was halfway through JFA when my friend was starting Porro's game, and I was watching him play it once and was like *OMIGODFANGIRLSPASMFOAMDIE*. He's the most adorable thing I've ever seen >w< Except for maybe Tombo from Kiki's Delivery Service. oh god I had the hugest crush on Pazu when I was little
An' I mean, my initial impression on Apollo and Trucy was AWWW THEY'D BE CUTE TOGETHER I'MA SHIP THEM. Of course when I finished Case 4 I kinda... withered a little. More than a little, actually. :C My poor dry little petals still litter the miserable wasteland of annihilated shipping dreams... thank god for apollo/vera...
I always imagined Apollo as owning a beagle; beats the hell out of me why. Then I reconsidered, and thought he'd be more of a fish person. in my dreams he has a giant koi fish named artemis. with, um, brown antennae. and red fins.
and DON'TCHA JUST LOVE some of the concept Pollies?! THEY'RE SO CUTE. I prefer some of them over his final design, like the one where he has the Gant hairdo (I'll bet he's some sort of reincarnation... CAN YOU PULL SWIMMING OUT OF YOUR PANTIES, TRUCY? OH HO HO! I think I'm a bit insane. ._.;;;

I got into GS the summer/fall before TAT came out in the States...which is way back in 2007. Jesus Christ...^^;; I can't remember if that was before or after Apollo's English name was released, honestly. But I remember calling him Odoroki for the longest time, and I had a lot of trouble switching to his English name. Which is why I say "Kyodoroki" instead of "Klavier/Apollo", I suppose.
In fact, I remember hating the little bugger. XD How dare he even think about replacing Phoenix! I hated the whole concept of the game, and wouldn't even pay attention to anything about it. I remember reading spoilers for the game, thinking 'Well, I'm never gonna play it anyway.' The spoilers made my opinions about the game a bit kinder, and I felt like I had to play it because it was part of the series. This same idea will get me to read the rest of the Twilight series, considering I read the first book before it got big, but I digress.
So I played it. And liked it. XD

first saw Apollo on the Cover of a Nintendo Power magazine. I picked it up and showed it to my sister.
Me: "Sis! Look at this, they're replacing Phoenix!"

I didn't really know what to think because I wasn't that into the Ace Attorney sereies. I think I was a little sympathetic to Phoenix, but not much else. :B
