"Nope", Ivan responded to her. "I only started out on the road three days ago, but I was held up even longer before that. About three years ago, I set my back pack down - stupid, I know - to take a quick breather, then some jerk decided it was okay to steal it from behind my back and he made off like a spy", he cursed. "Even though I already had money in my bank, I figured that it wasn't enough to last long so I took a job at a noodle stand for three years to add more to my account."

Ivan's looked turned sour but quickly remembered that he was in the company of another. The last thing he wanted was to turn moody. "I live in Hearthome, or at least my parents do. They said I could crash at their place any time I'm out on the road and visiting Hearthome. I'm making headway into entering the Pokemon League Challenge. 8 Gym Leaders, 64 contestants. I'm in the preliminaries right now - that is, earning badges and honing my skills by battling other trainers. I only have two Pokemon: the Geodude and Ralts I mentioned earlier but I believe that having a balanced, multi-type team is more advantageous than a strong, single-type team."

Ivan noticed the sun setting further. He reached into backpack, pulled out a map, and pointed at a city on the map. "Oreburgh is my first stop", he stated. "The first Gym Leader that all preliminary contestants must face...in practice. He is said to be the easiest to defeat, but going against him with an all Fire-type team would be suicide. He specializes in Rock-types which are resilliant to Fire attacks", Ivan concluded.

She picked a pokeball and threw it, "out you come Zubat!" she cried as her Zubat emerged from it's pokeball.
"Excuse me," she said to the person who had followed and the owner of the cap Pachirisu had stolen, "could you be the ref please?"

((It would of been so cool if the battles were Zubat v Zubat, Pachirisu v Pchirisu and then Onix v Steelix. Oh well..))
"Darn it's electric," said Cecilia to her dismay, but she couldn't change her pokemon now, "well, ubat will have a advantage since it can fly and Pachirisu can't - also I can poison it."

Appearance: Runa has what you could call a soft face. Her eyes are gentle amber, while her nose and chin are rather rounded. Her light skin gives off a healthy glow. Despite these traits, she somehow manages to look mature. Perhaps it is her thick, dark brown hair that falls several inches past her shoulders. Though her hair is relatively straight, the ends wisp upward. She has feathered side swept bangs which she tucks behind her ears as to keep them from covering her eyes. She can often be seen with a green bandana around her neck. Runa Lusardi prefers to wear rose colored Capri’s, a thin dark brown tee, and a light green jacket. She normally has on her black summer sandals. Pokéball designs adorn her leather belt fitted firmly around her waist.

Personality: When faced with strangers and people she doesn’t trust, Runa can appear to be rather antisocial, preferring to stay by herself and her Pokémon rather than striking up light conversations with other people. Runa may have trouble carrying on conversations due to her cautious ways of socializing, for she often locks up her own opinions as to not anger or irritate the other party.

It seems like Runa becomes a completely different person when she meets somebody she “clicks” with. When completely comfortable, she turns out to be energetic and carefree, almost to the point where she becomes annoying to others. She also enjoys blabbing on about becoming a Pokémon Breeder. However, this is not to say that she is incapable of intellectual, serious conversations.

Bio: Runa Lusardi lived most of her life in the Johto region. She was born in Ecruteak City. When she was seven years old, she and her family moved to Goldenrod City. It was here that she was introduced to the concept of breeding and showing Pokémon. Runa soon became obsessed with the entire idea of breeding, not to mention genetics. She was given a female Eevee for her tenth birthday. Eevee is her trusty companion and partner, as well as her Pokémon of choice in contests.

"Hmph. A Confuse ray?" He said as he gets out a Permsin Berry and toss it to Pachirisu. "Here you go Pachirisu!"

Pachirisu ate the berry and snapped out of confusion. "Pachi!"

"Pachirisu Use Shock Wave!" Anthony said.

"Pachiiiiiiirisuuuuuuuuu!" Pachirisu screamed as it used Shockwave on Zubat.

((Shock Wave A Fast and unaviodable elertic move. TM 34 And its weird how I did that without looking O.o))

"That idiot fell right into my trap!" laughed Cecilia, My training is perfect
"Zubat, don't worry." she said as Zubat took the hit, "plan alpha go!"
Zubat used scar face causing Pachirisu to cower, keeping it in a frozen position of fear Zubat then followed it with a series of quick attacks, Cecilia smiled - her training payed off and after each attack Zubat would retreat to the sky so fast that even if Pachirisu did another shckwave it would most definitely miss...

"Pachirisu, its time to finish that Zubat off with Thunderbolt at Max power!" Anthony said.

"Pachiiiiiiiiiiiiriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!" Pachirisu shouted as the thunderbolt strikes Zubat at full power causing it to faint leaving Pachirisu tired.

"Great job, Pachirisu now come back so you can take a rest." He said as Pachirisu walks back to Anthony and sleeps on its big fluffy tail. Its so cute when it sleeps.... He thought looking at Pachirisu. "Well I wonder which Pokémon you will choose now?" He asked her.

"why dont you pick first," she snarled, picking up her Zubat, she gave it a hug and looked back, "go on then."
She put Zubat on the ground it soon regained consciousness, "you can have that win but Zubat was hardly hurt by that pathetic thunderbolt."
Zubat flew in the air and sat on her hair, her Zubat was trained - to undergo electric attacks so it wasn't hurt badly. Of course it wasn't perfectly fine. Like a tiny scratch. And I thought I would have finally met a worthy trainer. Oh well, let's see how this battle turns out

"How about for this one we use the rest of our Pokémon? A double Battle? Go Rocky and Zubat." He said as he brought them out.

"Onix!" Rocky roared.

"Zubat!" Zubat said.

((Later in this RP Rocky will transform into a Crytalized Onix by holding a crystal called "Crystal rock" and then eventually it will evolved into a Crystal Steelix by holding.... I forgot the name of the item. (Which I might add would be cool XD) lol And Zubat will transform into Golbat and then into Crobat. Egg Event will happen soon.))

"A Shellos and a Pachirisu. Shellos is a Water/Ground type while Pachirisu is an Electric type. While my Zubat is a Bu/Flying type and Rocky is an Rock type. I wonder." He said. Alright Gu-" He was about to say something until Zubat unleased Twister at both Pachirisu and Shellos. A Zubat can't learn a Dragon type.... or can it!? This Zubat is something else.... He thought. "Rocky, Use Rock Slide." He said.

"Onix!" Rocky roared as he uses Rock Slide on both Pachirisu and Shellos.

((And yes Zubat can learn Twister in Platinum O.o I looked it up on Serebii.net))

"Pathetic," said Cecilia seeing Onix and Zubat's attack. Sure it can learn dragon-type moves but it's still in no comparison to sis
"Shello's counter it's attack with surf!" she cried, Shellos stopped his rock slide.
"Pachrisu protect!" she cried and Pachirisu used protet blocking th twister just in time.
"Now surf!" she cried, Shellos surfed and Pachirisu on it's back.
It drenched both Onix and Zubat.
"Go Pachirisu, thunder!" she cried and Pachirisu used thunder on them both, it was strong - Pachirisu's strongest move; the one they were training about earlier, since both Anthony's pokemon were wet extra damage was dealt and they became paralysed.
"Finish them both off my dear Pachirisu," smiled Cecilia.
Pachiriu jumped in the air and used seed bomb Wait, I didn't know Pachirisu could learn grass type moves
Then Pachirisu used Gunk Shot Or a poison type move. Pachirisu, you really did belong to sis. Not only are you special by the fact you have pink stripes instead of blue but you were trained by her.
The attack did finish it off and they were both knocked out, Zubat and Onix
Her pokemon went over to her. She looked at Anthony, "too bad, I thought I finally found a good opponent. Why did I pick you to be first opponent? I wanted someone like sis."
She then smiled, "so what about those stickers?"
She returned her pokemon back inside they're pokeballs and Pachirisu sat on her shoulder.

((Sorry Anthony xP Also Cecilia's secret is that her sister is one of the elite four and that Pachirisu was from her sis, that's why Cecilia has high standards. Also she seems mean at the moment after all in her bio it says she isn't nice to strangers))

"If you wanna meet my sis you gotta be the best and unfortunately for you that's me," said Cecilia as Pachirisu emerged from her bag, sat on her shoulder and nodded. "also is it that surprising, I mean being champion is ok but I never get to see her anymore - there are so many challengers but they all fail - she spends all day sitting around waiting since no one get's passed the elite four," she sighed. She missed her sister.

"I'm sure your sister and the Elite Four got time on their hands to get out of the Legaue and just relax, signing autographs.... Besides my relatives over at the Kanto, Johto, and Hoeen Region made it to the Elite Four, They even beat thier rival to do so. But luckily for me I don't need one. I think differently. I'm going to challenge the Gym Leader who uses Rock and Ground type Pokémon. I know my Pachirisu can't beat them but I think My Onix can take them on. He's tougher than he looks. I should know, I used to play with him when I was a little kid. I am friends with the Gym Leader as well, me and him always went to the cave that leads here and play with Rocky and I was the one that gave him that name. He made me a promise that if we were to fight in a battle he would give me something special. When i heard him being the Gym Leader, it got me even more intensed." He said taking a deep breath. "Besides After I heal my Pokémon." He said as he let them out. He uses potions on them and then fed them berries inclduing Pachirisu. "Besides I did recieved a letter from him one day saying he found a crystal that he would wanna fight me for it." He said looknig at her. "Besides you must be heading to him as well if you wanna get clsoe to your sister." He chuckled.

((Oh yeah and the same events will take place with Team Galantic.))

Jotaro had nodded off slightly while the battle went on, but he awoke he hear that girl say here sister was Cynthia... He thought Cynthia... Of the Elite Four? Hmm... Interesting. Jotaro pulled his hat up, revealing his eyes. "So, you say you need to have beaten the Elite Four in order to come close to beating you? Well then, why not we have a pokemon battle? After all, I am the CURRENT Champion of the Johto Elite Four..." He opened up his badge case, and took out a small medal, given to him by Lance, the former champion. He put the medal back, and said "so how about it? I think my pokemon are just about done healing."

((I'm so sorry for not replying yet - I've been out of town and it was really short notice, so I didn't get the chance to tell you guys that I'd be absent. I feel terrible. *crawls into corner*))

Canace's eyes had widened with incredulity as Ivan relayed his tale of misfortune to her, but she could not help but admire the apparent endurance he possessed. Being an innately restless person, Canace had always found the gift of patience particularly enviable.
"Heathorne, eh?" She nodded thoughtfully. "I've never been there before. That's really nice of your parents, sticking with you like that. I wish mine could be at least a little bit supportive, but since I'm a girl..." She glowered on the last word and spoke it with the slightest tinge of spite, but shook her head and abandoned the resentful demeanor. "I understand what you're saying about the whole 'variety over consistency' thing. It's just... I've never really thought to exercise my skills with any types besides Fire. I guess you could say I'm worried that I might fail at training other types." She shrugged. "You're going for the Pokémon League Challenge?! Wow, you must be pretty brave to try it." She sighed, and finished, quietly, "I wouldn't have the guts to risk losing."

Ivan noted a hint of resentment in her voice but thought it best not to press the issue.

"Well", he shrugged ambivalently, "I wouldn't know what else to do with those 8 badges. Even if I lose I'll have the satisfaction of at least trying. Plus, I'll get a hearty adventure out of it. Don't get me wrong; I totally want to win but there's no immediate loss if I don't make it to the top", he stated. He noticed the sun creeping past the horizon. It was time to set up camp. He spotted an oak tree up ahead. "We'll camp there", he said.

"Please, do. I actually forgot to stock up on cooking supplies and food. The only things I brought with me were snacks and a water bottle", he replied pulling out his gas-lit lantern. He turned the dial to an appropriate brightness and hung it from a branch on the tree. Then he pulled out his sleeping bag and laid it out on the ground. With his things unpacked, he turned and sat down, thankful for the rest from a long day's walk. He reached for the Pokeballs on his belt and let out the Ralts and Geodude inside. "Go play or something", he told said, "just don't bother her", he pointed to Canace, "and don't wander too far off". The Geodude happily obliged, running off into the field to get some exercise while Ralts took a seat next to Ivan, patiently waiting for dinner.
