Yup, this is basically the opposite of the "Stupidest things you've done in a video game" thread, these moments are basically the moment that make you start humming the "Final Fantasy VII Victory Fanfare" tune in your head. :redd:

Well, the greatest thing I've ever done in a video game would probably be...

Playing all of Metal Gear Solid 4 on Solid Normal, all in one sitting... It was the greatest 79 hours of my life... BUT I DID IT :karma: ... And then I passed out
Spoiler:
after seeing Snake kick the shit out of Liquid...
due to exhaustion...

The first time I beat the original Guitar Hero on Expert was pretty cool, along with when I beat Expert drums on RB.

Getting 1000 on GH3 was a long and tough journey also.

Collecting all of the 1/128 items in Earthbound.

Probably one of the best and certainly unique experiences I have had was playing Mother 3 in Japanese. You see, when it first came out I got my hands on it and it was like nothing else I've done before. Playing this RPG in Japanese with no knowledge of the language at all, but also just a bunch of people on Gamefaqs constantly posting over the next few weeks. We shared tips, new information on the storyline was revealed and it just felt like I was part of some great playthrough of this game, just a few fans of Earthbound playing this game despite it being in Japanese. And when I finally beat it, I felt quite proud, doing an entire RPG without understanding it at all. On reflection the game was incredibly tough too, but I'd imagine its easier in English where I don't have to have a lucky pick on which item to use etc.

Its a shame I never beat the game in English, I'll get around to it though.
Streets ahead.

Yesterday, I completely owned the Black Knight in FE: Path of Radiance. Everyone I've met on the internet says this is a tough fight, but I defeated him in only 3 turns.

Also beating Chapter 7 on F-Zero GX's story mode...on normal.

You mean Soul calibur 2.

Most likely for me it would be beating Viewtiful Joe on hard (anything higher than that was pretty insane in terms of difficulty) and completing some of the grand prix on the hardest difficulty on F-zero gx.

Me and my Friend was playing Horde on Gears of War 2. My friend is walking backwards and firing at the enemy in front of him and I'm shooting the enemy over my friends shoulder. It was an epic moment.

I think I mentioned this on another thread and someone said it wasn't that big of an accomplishment, but I'll say it anyhow.

In Kingdom Hearts II, defeating that one dude with the 12 spears at the Beast's castle without dying at all. I thought it was a big deal because my seasoned video gamer bro said he died three times, and the walkthrough said to expect to die at least once or twice. So... :edgy:

Also, in Trauma Center 2, I forget what level it was called, but getting an S rank on the level where you help Dr. Blackwell (??) when he gets a strain of GUILT. I couldn't even beat it, and when I finally did, I got an S rank! :edgy:

Me and three other guys over xbox live were having a massive shootout/holdout with the the police in the prison area in GTA IV with each of us at with 6 stars.
It was so epic as the skies were swarming with police assault choppers which were being shot out of the sky every ten seconds or so only to be replaced with another one and with at least 100 Police/SWAT/FIB members in the prison and the area surrounding it (quite a large number of hostile npcs) shooting at you, it was like being shot out of of Black Hawk Down. After around 30 mins, we made a getaway with dozens of police cars chasing us and trying to ram us. We made it halfway through liberty city before making our last stand in an old apartment building. It was made out of pure win.

Beating Resident Evil (the gamecube remake) in just under three hours without dying, on the hardest difficulty setting (don't remember what it is, I vaguely remember it having a certain name or description or something like that) with Jill. That's pretty much the best I've ever done (a close second is beating 'Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero' on 'Hell's finest' mode)

Beating Mother 3 for the very first time. I ended up screaming out like a madman because I was happy that I ended up beating the game due to the fact that my save file got corrupted like about twice. That's about it.

Oh yeah! And beating Sephiroth for the first time in Kingdom Hearts.

Same, I was cheap with Zenigage the whole way through and it was my first time messing with the Samurai class. It was after the bridge that I realised I was chunking money the whole time so then I stopped using it for the longest time. And Gilgamesh is awesome.

Mother 3 - Owning Porky with PK Ground.

Fire Emblem Sacred Stones - Critical Hit on Valder with Erika on my first attempt at him...one hit kill. :D

Luigi's Mansion - Getting an Mansion on my very first go at the end.

Space Channel 5 - On my first go of the final report, I saved every single person. Even the Morolians where you have to be all "LEFTCHUCHUCHUCHUCHURIGHTCHUCHUCHUCHUCHUUPCHUCHU!" (I was sweating like a pig when I did that...)

Samba De Amigo - Getting an S rank on Mexican Flyer on Ulala's challenge...Hard Mode. On my first go. Oh yes. I rock.

Oh, and I have to do this. *high fives dullahan1*

:D Dahlia!!!! Why must everyone hide from me? Lol. Great to see ya!

I guess another achievement I guess I could put would be getting everything in Paper Mario including all badges, all recipes, all everything else, and beating every extra boss and whatnot in the game. I used a guide for recipes, but who doesn't?

In Super Mario World, on the first level on top of the Vanilla Dome, I managed to create a jump combo from the start of the stage to the end of the stream of jumping green koopas.

And I did it with SUPER Mario, none of that floating capped nonsense.

That's pretty impressive. That level sometimes just locks down for me, and when that happens - I can't get past the Koopa Troops no matter what I do. Kind of embarassing, considering that it is my favourite "fool-around" level :sadshoe:

Anyway, my proudest moments must've been when I completed Paper Mario without ever increasing my stamina. Well, almost. After getting maximum badge points, I had to increase my FP, and towards the end, my HP was a full 25 HP. But anyhow, it made for some quite tense battles, from which I always prevailed! I remember the following:

- Beating The Master (99 HP, does at least 12 or something in damage each turn) in four rounds, with only 25 HP and only 15 FP used.

- A battle against Huff'N'Puff, who can be a real nuiscance however you roll. I had started out bad - I only had 3 HPs left while he had sucked up his little friends and regained health (When damaging Puff, the damage is manifested as small helpers who needs to be bested before Puff regains the health). Guess who won. :godot:

I know this really isn't that impressive - with the right badges one can do almost anything in Paper Mario. But I still felt pretty damn good after my easiest battle against the last boss, who I up until then had thought of as quite hard.
