yeah, we'll probably go again this year, but I don't feel like cosplaying for PW (but I'll still hang around you peeps, because I love the community so friggen much).
I'm actually working on a tauren hunter from world of Warcraft this year. It probably won't be done in time, though, since I keep running into the issue of LACK OF CASH!

I may not be cosplaying as anything from Phoenix Wright, unfortunately. :'( As for my dream cosplay, I would like to cosplay as Waitress Maya (because it's an adorable outfit), Franziska, or Trucy.

@Ledundead: Even if you can't cosplay--which, by the way, I saw your pic on the other thread and I think you'd make a dashing Phoenix--do stop by. It's nice to have people at the shoots who aren't in the shoots so they can take pictures, plus you'll meet tons of lovely people. Seriously, I love this fandom.
Speaking of, I just wanna throw out there that my cosplay partner-in-crime Diego/Godot and I are totally willing to chill with any people from the shoots at Starbucks--as long as there's coffee involved and/or it doesn't interfere with seeing Crispin "the awesomest Otakon news in a while" Freeman xD

Personally, I like to pick up my badge on Thursdays. Not much (if anything) is really going on, so if the wait happens to be a bit long, then you don't waste a lot of your time waiting in line. There's no problem with you choosing to pick up your badge the day/s you're going, I just happen to find it easier to go early.
A Starbucks mini gathering would be so fun, I love hanging out with fellow PW fans and the bonus of over-priced coffee (which I'm totally addicted to) is an added bonus!

Heh. I don't know why I have no objections to overpriced lattes...! I have a feeling this year will be a lot more relaxed for us in terms of OMGWHEREWEGOIN' because I'm going with a posse that's more PW-integrated. So more frequent stops to chat with people!

Sounds good. I'll be there July 17, 18, and 19. I'm going with three other people who have been to Otakon before, so I'll try to head to one of the photoshoots. Any suggestions for things to do at Otakon (besides Caramell Dansen)?

It depends on what you're interested in - I tend to go to a few panels (the list is on Otakon.com here), take pictures at a few photoshoots that interest me (there's usually a big list of scheduled photoshoot gatherings on Cosplay.com), and I also take the time to browse the HUGE dealer's room and artist alley.
If you enjoy playing video games, there's a big game room as well... though there may be a wait to play a particular game. I know that Smash Bros usually had a mini crowd around it when I checked.
@sakurairis: Props to you for going as Lamiroir! I would love to see how it turns out even if "sloppy"... it's admirable to even attempt the task! :)
I will not be able to go to Otakon this year, unfortunately... plans changed. Maybe next year. :)
