Get it? FEY + K = FAKE!?
OHOHOHO *slapped*
Posting at 4 a.m. is definitely not the brightest thing to do~

Anyway, I've had such the urge to do cosplay, and it'd be the perfect way to show my love for the PW series.
I found a nasty tangled wig, and after making it look better, I figured it could be really good for Maya (even though it's not quite long enough in the back). = ___=;;

So I thought I'd do a test run and see if I'd be a good Maya?
Since this was only a test, I used scrap fabric laying around, and one of my kimono obi that is about the color of hers. (Or at least I hope it is? ew)

Spoiler: Sorry for the mirror shot, but I was lazy ;;;

So what do you guys think?

---

I was also thinking of doing :takita:
And my mom already agreed to being :chopchop:

This is if we go to Tekkoshocon next year~
I think it'd be awesome doing the pair, cuz when I say "HEY MOM, LOOK AT THIS!" or something, it'll still be accurate both ways. LOL
So do you guys think I could pull off even a half-decent Wocky?
Spoiler: Me without a wig

I don't have a good fullbody picture atm. But bodies can change, and faces pretty much stay the same anyways, amirite? 8D

This is such a long and lame first posttttt (and I hope everything works alright)
It took me 30 minutes to get the courage to even click the New Topic button.

Oh wow, I think your costume is very nice. I guess if you wanted to get really picky, you could probably find her beads somewhere (or make them?) and possibly a better wig? I'm just always used to seeing Maya's hair as the super-straight/shiny type, but the wig that you have is perfectly alright too.

Other than that, is your mom familiar with Ace Attorney? :D It would be cool if she is- my parents have always been old farts about things like video games- they avoid them no matter what!

Mostly AA related sketches- I've only had my tablet and photoshop for about 2 weeks now, so I still feel like I'm not very good... but I try to be funny when I can :D

Thanks~!

As I said, this was only a test to get the basic look down to see if it was appropriate for me, so it's not a complete cosplay.
(I threw it together in like 10 minutes, including sewing. LOL)

I think this wig was meant for regular use for normal occasions, so it's no super shiny because it'd be "OMG WIG WEARER!" But yeah.. it could be better. xD
Just not sure if I want to spend the money when already have the same type almost. *slapped*

She's not really into games, but she does enjoy cosplaying.
I'm trying to get her to play AA though, because it seems like something she could like~
But somehow I don't think she'd ever get to it. ha

The costume's good and the only problems are the wig, the beads' size and the necklace.

I'm not sure about the crossplay though. But if your mom already agreed to being Plum Kitaki, and you want to REALLY be a mother-child pair, then there's no trouble with being Wocky. ^.^ :magatama-spin:

O_O Oh, wow! You are such a cute Maya! I encourage the cosplay!!

One question, though. How did you do the bun so nicely? It looks really good. I need to style a wig like this later this year for my Tres Bien Mia cosplay.

Your advice is much appreciated. ^^

@Mystic Mia
Thanks!
I was actually going to make the beads out of clay, so I can get them the right size. The beads I had in my hair for the photos were just some cheap wooden beads I found laying around.

I wasn't sure about crossplaying either, but momma likes to match. xD
And since she insisted on going as someone she could pull off, Plum was prefect because she's the same size and shape. haha

Not to mention she'd love that chance to constantly whack me with the broom/sword :sadshoe:

@Alino
Thanks~! You advice was much appreciated, too. ;D
I actually cheated a bit in accuracy in the back (because nobody would see it much), and did a bun like I do with my normal hair with one of those.. clippy things. .... Those ones that look like monster dentures (I have no idea how to explain them. *shotshot*)
You just pull up the little backbun portion of hair, double it over so the raw end of hair is pointing down, and then clip under.

I'm sure you could to the same with regular hair pins so no clip shows. I just opted for the clip because it can keep the bun all day, whereas pins I don't know. ;;;

Very, very adorable! The overall wig shape looks great, and the expressions are just right. I think you'll make a wonderful Maya- so I say go ahead and work on/finish that costume! =)

Also, I must make it known that I think I'd die if I saw a Wocky and Plum (one of my favorite characters) at Tekko next year. My Turnabout 4-2 loving heart couldn't take it ~ <3
