This is literally the one of the best parts in the contest.
Hmm...Few pretty nice works in the sprite section indeed.
And to be lil' more excact...I guess I like bit more of Elle-Anna Paige than the others.
Bit editing and it will be GORGEUS sprite! Yes!

Except...I'm dying to see which of those three finally won.
I myself...Heh! Last time I checked I only got like 10%, but even that is a MASSIVE won for me.

Like the rules stated, the contest is meant to be judged on creativity, continuity, and execution. I don't think it has anything to do with with it being pencil vs painting, a single character shot vs a collection of emotions, etc. But if you want to get an idea for next year what kind of entries gather the most votes, you need only check out our archive of past entries and winners:

Besides, my pencil render looks noting like the Phoenix Wright style. Hotel Dusk maybe, but I wasn't catering for the audience very well ^^; It's ok though- I got in the top ten- that makes me happy ^^ I was really sweating it for a while there cause I couldn't see the entries. I'm happy I stood a chance at the cup eve n if I didn't get it :) I was mostly entering for fun ^^

Hahaha, I agree with you. I don't really cater to the audience very well, kinda. But still I'm glad that someone voted for my OC. No, not glad - I'm estatic that they thought my character is good. The same goes for being in the finalists. :) It was fun drawing the character and it was astounding to see other good entries.

I don't know, Flames was the winner of fanart section last year, but her works have nothing to do with the character sheet. They are just character shoots like yours.
