We are all aware about the console war going on between these three titans~ But what I want to know is which console you prefer?

I happen to have all three systems, but I really prefer my playstation over everything nowadays. It used to be my 360, but for some reason my love for that system died. I'm not exactly sure why though since I have always been a crazy microsoft fangirl.

I'm a Wii person. I love Nintendo, and can't afford more than one console. Though if I got a second it'd be a PS3.

In my whole life, I just had Nintendo consoles, so I can't tell you which one is the best.

However, I have an Wii and I think it's pretty good. Excellent, actually; Well... Which console have they strong points. So, I can't tell you which one is the best; I've never played 360 or PS3, but I think that Wii is the best. In second, I'd put 360, mostly because of my friends' opinion.

I am an old school Nintendo fan. I love the NES & SNES. I am not a big fan of the Wii though. =\
I do love my DSi, however. I think it is much better then the PSP .. which I hardly have any games for.

I'm by and large a Nintendo fan. Mostly because I don't favor the Sports, Shooters, and general violence that likes to populate the competing consoles. If I were to buy a second console, it might be the PS3, but even then I'd stand a greater chance of reselling it. Shame really, the PS1/2 and Sega Genesis were Non-Nintendo consoles I had favor with in the past.

Although I have a Wii, there's like five good games for it. All the good stuff for Nintendo systems is on DS now.

I agree Cheeze! although I have a bunch of games for the Wii, I hardly play it. It isn't the most fun thing to play alone, and that is why I general dub it my party console. If I have a bunch of friends over, we can have a blast playing Smash, Mario Kart, WarioWare-- But other than that ..

360 and PS3 are almost the exact same thing save for graphical differences in games, the bluray player, and finally, some of the exclusive games. I am not sure if I prefer one over the other anymore, but I have been on a PS3 binge recently; Ghostbusters being the most recent.

amazing game, btw!

I am not as much of a Nintendo fan as I was when I was a wee lass. I still have a NES and SNES and even a Genesis. In all honesty, I think a lot of those games are much better then most of the stuff being pumped out now. Like you said, Wooster, most games are either sports, racing, or shooters. I do enjoy shooters on occasion, but most of those games run 5 - 6 hours, and after that there isn't any replay value. At least the older games drew you back in.

I must agree with you. Except the part that you said that other than some multiplayer games, the Wii hasn't games that really worth it playing alone. I'm sorry, but that's what you meant?

In any case, I kinda disagree in that one. I think that, indeed, the Wii have some really cool and fun multiplayer games, however, there are a lot of 1-player games that are really good. Tales of Symphonia, Zelda, Fire Emblem and that stuff... I don't have the chance to play my Wii everyday in the week, however, when I wanna play games, or I call friends or I play alone, that, in my opinion, is really good too.

I know it's not sooo cool playing alone, when you can play with your friends Mario Kart, for example, but I think that the 1-player games are one of the most important game in the console, 'cause they have continuations even cooler than the last one. But that's just what I think.

Mm. that is sort of what I mean. I know that it has a bunch of Single-P games such as Trauma Center; No More Heros; Zelda; Mario; Madworld; and so on. Some of the games on the Wii are amazing ( multi & single P alike ) but compared to the other two systems, my preference towards [game type] just beckons me to them.

I will always stick with my beloved DS, but the Wii and I are growing apart. though I am looking forward to that new! super mario bros. game

Oh, yea, I know what you mean. I agree with that too.

Hmmm... There's gonna be a new super mario bros. - another - for DS?! O.o

I can't say anything about the PS3 as I don't own one (or know anyone who has one). I have been spending more time on the 360 than the Wii though. (Mainly because I only got the 360 a few weeks back).

The Wii is an excellent console though, even if I haven't really played it for weeks. I am looking forward to NSMBW and SMG2 though.

Well, well... I'll see what I'll do. I really need to finish that game :redd:

~

But, back on topic, I'm planing on buying a PS3 or a 360 in July. I don't know which is the best, but I will ask my friends
opinions again and I'll read some reviews 'bout the two consoles, and then I'll decide which one I'm gonna buy.

I used to be on the 360 nonstop. Not sure what happened. I will be returning to it once I finish moving-- or perhaps before. >>;
I really do love that system, though its technical problems are a bit of a pain.

I don't think the PS3 is going to be getting any cheaper, but we can always hope! It is a great system~ and the bluRay player is always a plus. When it comes to cross platform games, however, it really depends on who the developer is. It could be better on one system or the other.

Get on that! * Snicker. * Naa. You have a couple of months to finish, and I'm sure you will. Most people have a 360 over a PS3 but it really depends on your own preference. Most people will end up getting a 360 because their friends have one, and online gaming is soooo much fun!

I'll start playing after I get out of Temple of Courage in Zelda: PH. Argh, I HATE dungeons! :grey:

~

Well, I actually have a lot of time to decide between PS3 or 360.
Since I was young, I always loved the Playstation consoles, and now that I have a chance to buy PS3, I guess I should take it... I dunno. I wanted to buy a DSi to, 'cause I heard there's gonna be exclusive games for it. Damn, I can't sell my Lite to buy a DSi. That'd be stupid. Geez... But that's completely off-topic xD

Anyways, thanks for the help :gant:

It's Nintendo all the way for me, although I do own an XBOX 360. I dislike sony because of how smug all its fans were during the PS2 years. Apart from not having a DVD/CD player, the Gamecube could do almost everything that the PS2 could, and I could never understand why the PS2 was infinitely more popular. But I will still probably get a PS3 because of Final Fantasy versus XIII.

Wii all the way. But only for the games. There are about 7 good games for it, yes, but there are hardly any for the PS3 and just war games for the 360. All the good games go to the DS, with such gems as Elite Beat Agents and Ace Attorney. Personally, I always prefer sitting there playing along with a controller, rather than Nintendo's clever controls.

BC on the PS3 is a real pain in the rear. How many versions of the PS3 are there, ..? Six. We have the 20- 60- old!80 ( which are all BC ) and then we have the 40- 80- and the 160. * Shakes head. *

But I have to agree with the above couple of posts too, there are really only a handful of good Wii games. The good ones, however, are amazing. But then we have all of the shovel ware. efff. There is so much of it out there.

I have a Wii, 360, PSP and DSi (as well as two Lites).

I'm pretty sure the Wii Games I now have will be it for me, as I am very picky about what games I buy and no, the economy is not a factor. I wanna buy games I'll want to go back and replay later on down the road. I have the Lion's Share of what the Wii has to offer (Brawl, Fire Emblem, Mario Kart, etc.) and like the Gamecube (who I still have--Game Boy Player FTW!) there's just a few games worth getting the Wii for. As for the VC, IMO Nintendo waited too long to do something about the limited space concerns. This is gonna hurt them in addition to the fact Japanese Wii Owners can watch their local TV networks via live stream and we (as well as Europe and Latin America) can't. Don't get me wrong--Sony's usual 3rd party game developers are making games for Nintendo now so...yeah XD

I got the Xbox 360 for only 3 games: Tales of Vesperia, Soul Calibur IV and the Sega Genesis Collection (I'm a sucker for classic bundles, lol). A few games coming out soon told me I was smart to get my 360 Elite last November. Xbox Live is much butter than the PS3 and Wii's equivelants for two reasons: You can link both your Computer (assuming the OS is Windows XP/Vista, of course) and your Zune (assuming you have one) SEAMLESSLY and to top it off, once you link the systems your Microsoft Points are linked, too. No having to buy points for one system and buying more for another, they're linked. Add to that the crapload of downloadable content and the HUGE library of other goodies and...let's just say you don't need to buy games to enjoy your 360 XD

The PSP...may not last much longer. It survived the GBA SP and the DS/Lite but the DSi may be what takes down the PSP. Don't get my wrong--the PSP is an awesome system plus the UMB Movies were the main reason I bought my Fat PSP. Aside from the games I currently have, I don't really see myself buying any mre PSP Games. Sony's gonna need a few miracles if it wants the PSP to survive.

The DSi is a fucking GODSEND for folks like me who don't like camera phones, sidekicks or blackberries. Add to that the fact that you don't have to turn the system off to switch games (which you can also do with the PSP, actually) and you got a nice system there. Sadly, the DSi is guilty of coping some of the PSP's features. Said features include the built-in Internet Browser (which I think everyone can agree is WAY better than the PSP's), the ability to use your own Music and downloadable content. Sure, the DSi was designed to better work with the Wii (which it does a nice job doing) but the biggest complaint people have about the DSi is the fact that it lacks a GBA slot. To those of you stupid enough to have traded your DS/Lite for the DSi, only blme yourself. The System's Main selling point (and the reason for the $170 price tag)--the cameras--are quite impressive and you can use SD Cards to put your pics on a computer or print them. Too bad it's already been done--twice (by the Eye Toy and the Game Boy Camera). The only thing that will really get people to buy one would be to release a few games that takes advantage of the DSi's extra features.

I have a PS3- 360- Wii- DSi- PSP- and most of those I have more than one of. Don't ask. * Inconspicuous cough. *

I am not a big fan of the Wii just because there are not a lot of good games out there for it. It is a nice console but with a small library of worthwhile games, .. well, that doesn't actually make it that great. I do, however; love the Shop Channel where I can download all Nintendo's old school games, which surprisingly enough, still hold up really well today. Honestly, I think that has to be my favorite thing about the Wii. that and it was the only system with a coop ghostbusters game

I kept my GC too, and I recently picked up the Gameboy Player from my local Gamestop. I had the one that worked with the SNES but that one didn't played GBC games so I decided to pick up the Player so I could play some RE Gaiden. Gotta love that 8-Bit music!

Next up! Sony. I have 3 PSPs; one of 1000 models & one of the 2000 models ( the latter being Japanese ). I am not sure what possessed me to get one in the first place but there is nothing out there for that system that really catches my attention. I believe that I bought it because of I could rip Movies and TV shows onto it. What is more awesome than having a hand held play a full length movie? Not much. It was the perfect pal for long trips.

Between the PS3 and the 360- they each have their problems. I HATE both of their menus;; the xmb and whatever Microsoft wants to call that atrocity. I loved the old 360 menus, you know, the tabs. It was simple back then, and now, .. now I just want my head to explode every time I flip through the different sub menus of menus of menus. I do agree that the 360 does have better online integration, and that is is much easier to join and invite other people to your game. On the PS3 it varies. Most games will have you invite a person by selecting them on your friends list, while others make you invite them from the game. It may sound simple, but it gets really confusing when you are just trying to hook up with someone.

Right now, the DSi is my favorite system. HANDS DOWN. Before the DSi, it was the DSlite. With a huge library of amazing games it already has an edge over everything else. I think I own more DS games than all my other games combined-- either that or the numbers are very close. I imported a DSi back in November so my friends and I could see it before it launched here, and while figuring everything out was a pain, once we did so I have never had so much fun. The camera on that thing is probably my favorite feature. I just love being able to screw with pictures in real time, and then move them onto my computer to show everyone. Oh! and another thing that is a lot of fun is the moving notepad. I don't think it released in America yet, but it is another really cool thing to play with.

I still need to try that WarioWare game that uses the camera. I, for some reason, downloaded the Japanese version and I can't understand a lick of it. ><; Stupid move on my part considering I have an American system too.

First off, I am absolutely shocked at the amount of love for the PS3 here :beef: Not that I don't like it, I'm just very surprised that no one's bashed it yet! Wowzers! :edgy:

Anyhow, I used to be exclusively PS user (PSX, PS2, PS3). Our house never held any other system.
But now I'd say I'm slightly more Nintendo fan. I do like the Wii, kind of, but I don't use it often. However, I just ADORE my DS, which I just got a few years ago, and I have to say that I've used it more times than I've used any PS games in my entire life. :eh?:

I like ps3.

Ps3 beats wii in the action department.

Wii beats ps3 in the nintendo department.

Xbox360 beats ps3 in the online department.

ps3 beats xbox360 in the hardware department. And in the potential department.

Xbox360 beats wii in the online department and fanbase department.

Wii is for kids. Or rather its just fun i guess.

Ps3 is a variety

Oh and this topic is ps3 vs xbox360 vs wii I didnt see the words NINTENDO DSI,

Not to mention the dsi isnt even a system. But a handheld. It doesnt count hah.

Xbox360 is obviously for online. If you have a 360 and you dont have live you must be smoking something.
Heh.

Bit different for me this gen. Last gen for me it was all about the Gamecube, along with a PS2, and no Xbox, even though I'd never owned an Xbox, I just went ahead and said I hated it.

This gen however, due to the price of PS3, I went ahead and got a 360. For me, its always been the Nintendo console, plus one other, and this time I gave the Xbox 360 a chance.

That was probably my smartest move in gaming like... ever. Just check my gamertag in my sig: I am a 360 gamer. No, I'm not some mega achievement whore, I just love my Xbox, and I get pretty much all of my games on it. Excellent games, brilliant games, all my friends have Xbox, just, good stuff.

So what about the Wii? Personally, I thought it was absolutely awful. Horrible controls, horrible graphics, poor games... just, nothing interested me anymore. I beat Twilight Princess but only out of boredom, and I played Galaxy for just 15 minutes, then never played it again. I'm just not interested in Nintendos games anymore (I didn't even bother buying MP3) and nothing else interested me. So I sold it, and got a PS3. Another smart decision.

So for me, it goes 360 > PS3 > Wii. The Wii just wasn't for me at all, and I currently use the PS3 for its exclusive titles, all of which (that I've bought) I've enjoyed... apart from Little Big Planet, I hated that.
Streets ahead.

I've been a Playstation fan all my gaming life but I've played all three systems. And still I like the PS3 best.

I've always been a nintendo fan. I thought that my second was the Xbox360, but it turned out there are more games I want for the ps3. So I'm thinking of buying it later this year.

and it has blueray

pray tell, what is so good about blu-ray? more memory comes at the expense of longer loading times. developers actually put game data on multiple places on the disc so the scanner doesn't have to travel so far. until they speed it up, two or three discs is still a better alternative to blu-ray
