YES I KNOW PEOPLE USED THAT NAME ALREADY.

I'm thinking of another one as we spea.....er....type.

Small test run. NOT FINISHED
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgBaNLhEYW4&fmt=18
Longer one coming once I finish it, including more pressing and objecting,

I have no idea if it's been done before, but I really want to try it and see how it goes. If it's been done, tell me.
And don't bother telling me how limited it will be.
I know it can't have health but I don't think that will matter much.

Title: Justin Case; The YT Trial (wow....really?)
Project Head: I, of course.
Current Contributers: N/A so far
Which Casemaker: N/A. It's all going to be interactive video, though if I continue the story I'll use one.

What I Have: Opening script, all evidence, sketches of the testimonies.
What I Need: the following:
*Sprites/Pictures (see below)
Script Editor (Make sure everything is in tip-top shape)

Status: Still writing out the script, but the concept for the case is completed. eh..... as of now-

SCRIPT: 40%
EDITING: n/a

----------------------------

So, the basics are that it's going to be a case, only in court, on youtube. That means it's 100% video. Youtube has the feature of clickable annotations, so that will be very helpful. Say if you need to press, on the top left corner, you press the "Press" button. It will re-direct to another video of that "hold it" sequence. When finished, it takes you back to the testimony.

To present evidence, there are small thumbnails on the very bottom (or top, I'm not sure yet) and you click on those to object. If anyone can figure a better way for this, please tell me.

Here's the things. I think it's be really cool to use photos instead of sprites, because it would be easier than drawing animations. However there's the problem with getting backgrounds, and the cut scenes. (though I could just shadow everyone out during cut scenes of something) Sprites are more flexible, but there’s the problem with it takes forever to draw them. So I need opinions on which ones will work best… photos or sprites?

As I said before, I am working on the script, but here are the characters that I made (Subject to change)
Defense: Justin Case (Yeah I know a lot of people use it. Ah well)
Prosecution: Flasque/Masque/Slasque. He/she wears a mask that shows 1 of three emotions. Happy, Mad, or bland. Each mask is like a different person.
Detective: Doug Dewmont.
Victim: Derick Demrod
Defendant: Cody Collins ( Has been locked up in his house all his life. No touch in reality.)

I’ll post the script when finished, but I right now I just want some opinions on the project. If it will work or not, name suggestions, etc. No this is not a joke, I really want to try this.

:mike-salute:
EDIT:
If the first one works I might continue the series on a normal casemaker.
There, I said it.

Sounds like a painful amount of uploading, but could be a big hit if it pulls off. You would have to block comments on all videos except the final though.
If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!

It seems like if you have to click for every little thing every little time, it would get very annoying clicking and waiting for the next page to load, and watch the video, and you might have to pause and go back a few seconds to finish reading a textbox, and all these things...

I think it would work, but I think an actual casemaker would work a lot better =\

Well, the testimonys will be automatic, but all the text will stay for a decent amount of time. Also I've done casemakers, but I want to try something new for once. :edgy: If someone has a slow computer, well then too bad. lol They wouldn't be HD so it shouldn't take long to load.

There are interactive YouTube games, so why not? Sounds like an interesting idea. That, and, if finished, it can show the rest of the world how dedicated we Ace Attorney fans are, hee.

Well, good luck with it, and I hope everything goes well.

Why won't you just combine GS and/or GK music to make a soundtrack? It comes out great.

That's GREAT! You just need to fix the "Hold It!"'s size and clean the "Objection!" graphic a bit. But it's great, it's been done nicely.

Congratulations :3

Thanks. Yeah I needed to take the eraser tool and carve out the while background for Hold It and Objection. lol I hope that I left enough time to read the text. :sawit-2:

I'm doing it in Flash because After Effects doesn't like sprites to much. lol.

Wait :eh?:

When I said "the size of the Hold It!". Ignore that. YT lagged on me and the "Hold It!" graphic stayed small. So, it just needs cleaning.

EDIT: Also, the time for the text is fine.

Annoying... but not as annoying as I thought it would be, at least.

I think maybe, during an objection, the overlay should be the close-up with speed lines (like there is in the games) instead of the objection pose...

Added another objection for the 2nd statement.

I'm just testing things out. It'll be different once the case comes out (mainly because it won't be Phoenix) but I'll probably do the close up/speed lines when an objection is successfull, and just the pose when it's wrong. I dunno I'll have to see which works best.

:sadshoe:

I was hoping not to see this kind of thread. I thought of the exact same thing, and I have a majority of the case in my mind.

Do you mind if I still continue with it?

EDIT: Actually, it looks like mine is going to be completely seperate from yours.

Yeah, after I wrote the script, made all the puns, I see it's used. I'll change the name when I can think of a new one......whenever that'll be.
